THIS will DESTROY the STEAM DECK

Hello, welcome back to a new video. So

recently I've been looking into the AYANEO

2, which is a really powerful handheld

console, and this thing is absolutely

going to destroy the Steam Deck. It's

basically like a Steam Deck that's on

steroids. It is amazing. So if you want to

know what this device is like, it's

basically like imagine the Steam Deck but

better in almost every single way. So the

AYANEO 2 is running on an AMD Ryzen 6800U,

and not only that, it has a really

powerful graphics card processor, it can

also be connected to an external graphics

card. So you could theoretically connect

this to one of those RTX 4090 really

massive powerful brick graphics cards,

and you can have the best graphical

experience that you can ever have in the

world of gaming on this tiny little

handheld device. And when running

benchmark tests, the AYANEO 2 actually

outperforms the Steam Deck on almost every

single game in almost every single way by

about at least between 30 and 40% when it

comes to graphical fidelity and FPS best

frame rates and performances. As for the

design of the device, I really like it.

This version of the AYANEO 2 is called the

Retro Power. There's also other kinds of

design styles that are available, but this

is called the Retro Power 2, and it's

actually available for around $1,000. So

it is a bit expensive. It's at least

triple the price of the base model of the

Steam Deck. But because it's almost triple

the price, obviously it's going to be way

more powerful. And oh my God, this thing

is just gonna blow the Steam Deck out of

the water, and also even consoles like PS5

and Xbox can't really stand up to the

performance and the hardware capabilities

of this handheld device. The design is

just super clean. Look at that screen, no

bezels at all. One of the things I hated

about the Steam Deck were those massive

thick chunky bezels going all around the

screen. It just ruined the device's

aesthetics completely. But this design on

the AYANEO 2 looks so futuristic and

sleek, and the quality of the screen on

this is just amazing. It doesn't look

washed out like it does on the Steam Deck

in sometimes some cases. The blacks on

this screen are black enough in the right

way and the whites are just white enough

in the right way. The colours and the

saturation is just so vivid and colourful

and amazing. The sharpness and the detail

you get in this screen is just so good,

it even blows the Switch OLED's OLED

screen out of the water. So you might be

wondering, who exactly are these AYANEO

people? I've never heard of this company

before, to be honest, and after doing some

research, I found out they are based in

China. Now that sent some alarm bells

ringing a little bit in my head, and it

might send some alarm bells ringing for

other people because they think, Oh,

China, the kind of knockoff cheap

imitation things they make. They don't

really make high-quality stuff, and that

is understandable because China does have

a record for making bad quality cheap

stuff and knockoffs and scamming people.

But this company AYANEO is— I think it's

pretty legit. They've had consoles before,

and a lot of people don't really have a

problem with the products they've gotten

from this company. And it seems like

they're using high-end materials, and the

build quality of their devices are

actually really premium, which is

reflected in the price point of their

products. I think they they've got a good

track record and they can be trusted, and

there's not really much history or records

of them being a shady company or

delivering products that fail or are

faulty or made out of cheap materials.

Now you might be wondering, how is it

possible for a new handheld device to

actually be so much better than the Steam

Deck? Because the Steam Deck was developed

and made by Valve, a multi-billion dollar

company in the US, and this startup

company is AYANEO that no one's really

heard of. How have they made a device that

is way better than the Steam Deck in

performance? Well, that's because the

AYANEO 2 is basically running a more

powerful chip. It's using a laptop-grade

graphics card, whereas the Steam Deck is

using more of a custom-made integrated

graphical chip in the motherboard, which

is mostly primarily focused on running the

Steam Deck in a more energy-efficient way

so you can get maximum battery

performance. And that's great and

everything, but it does sacrifice in

graphical fidelity and performance in that

way. So when other companies like AYANEO 2

come up with this way of making a handheld

console using a laptop-grade graphics

card, then it's just going to blow the

Steam Deck's little chip out of the water

when it comes to frame rates per second

and graphics. Although I am worried about

the AYANEO 2's battery life because they

are sacrificing energy efficiency for a

more beefier and powerful chip. We'll have

to see how this plays out and see how long

the battery actually lasts. So obviously

for such a powerful device, it's going to

be kind of expensive. The base model of

this starts at around $850.

For the base model compared to the base

model of the Steam Deck, which I think is

only about $400. So it is almost double

the price of the Steam Deck base model,

but in return for that expensive price

tag, you get a much more capable system,

much more powerful and beefier specs and

graphics card and chips, and there's also

just much better build quality. I don't

really like the Steam Deck build or design

because I just feel like the Steam Deck is

way too wide. I don't like having my hands

so far apart when I'm holding this screen

in the middle. It just feels very

unnatural. And I know the Steam Deck has a

lot of functionality, like it has the

trackpads and the back paddles, but

honestly, when I played the Steam Deck, I

never used the trackpads. I never used the

back paddles. It's just kind of

unnecessary. I know I can map those back

paddles to different things and different

buttons, but I just found myself never

doing that. And even though the AYANEO 2

doesn't have those things, I don't really

feel like I miss them. And in return, you

get a much more compact device without

those massive side grips for your hands on

either side, and it just feels like a much

better designed device. So the great thing

about this is, yes, it is expensive. Yes,

it does have a similar price point of many

laptops. Instead of buying this for $1,000

for the higher-end specs, you could get a

decent laptop like a 17-inch RTX 3060

Razer Blade Pro gamer laptop. You could

buy one of those or something smaller or

cheaper and get a laptop experience, or

you could get this really cool handheld

device and have something that's very

small that can fit into your backpack.

And if you do find yourself in Thailand

sitting around in an apartment, you always

have the capability and ability to connect

this up to a monitor, buy a little

keyboard, buy a mouse, buy a little

mousepad, and turn this thing into a fully

fledged desktop experience. This device is

so powerful, it can actually do basically

anything that a mid-range laptop can Even

video editing or any kind of word

processing or web browsing. It's not just

a gaming device. So yeah, in the

ultra-competitive world of handheld gaming

consoles, it is a really brutal and

competitive world. You had the Switch,

which just dominated the area for many

years, which was then destroyed by the

Steam Deck, which was considered to be

superior in every way. And it was. But now

the Steam Deck hasn't even been out for

more than a year or two, and there's

already competitors coming out. That are

just destroying the Steam Deck in the same

way that the Steam Deck destroyed the

Switch. There's going to be a lot more

rivals and competition coming out, which I

think is great for us, the consumer. More

choice and more options is great. It's

going to give Steam more reasons to try

and update the Steam Deck and the Steam

Deck 2 and try and make it more

competitive, which in the end, as a gamer

and as a consumer, that's just great for
