Please STOP telling me to get a job [YR9zdQF-irU]

Hey, so a lot of people like to tell me to

get a job, and it's kind of annoying. It

would be nice if people stopped telling me

what to do. It would be nice if people

stopped telling me to get a job. I don't

even know why you care so much if I have a

job or not. How does it affect you? How

does it affect your life if I'm unemployed

or if I'm employed? It doesn't affect you.

So I think that there's 2 groups of people

who like to tell me to get a job, and the

first group would be the group of people

who actually care about me, who are

worried that I don't have enough money or

I'm financially struggling, and they want

me to get a job so that I'm financially

secure. And if that's the case, then

thanks, that's very generous of you. I'm

very thankful that you care so much that

you worry about me like that. And I guess

that the second group of people would be

the people who work very hard themselves,

and they feel kind of irritated and

annoyed that they're working so hard and

I'm not working, and they don't think it's

fair. And I totally understand that.

I also used to work full-time. I used to

work 40 hours a week in a petrol station,

and I felt like it was unfair that people

like PewDiePie were just playing video

games and screaming and being an idiot

online And they were making millions and

millions every month, and I was just

sweeping the floor and stacking the

shelves for minimum wage, and I hated it.

I hated my job at the petrol station. But

that's the thing about the world. It's not

fair. People work really hard doing

horrible jobs, and they only make a

fraction of what footballers make, or

tennis players make, or people like

PewDiePie make. There's doctors and pilots

who fly aeroplanes who do really important

jobs, And they get paid a lot of money,

and they deserve that money, but they only

get paid a fraction of what some people

make. Even though those some people don't

really do important jobs, they just play

video games on the internet, or they run

around the field kicking a ball. The world

isn't fair, and we all need to understand

that. Some people say that YouTube isn't a

job. They say that it's not a real job,

it's not a proper job. And I guess to some

extent that is true. It's not a

traditional job. It's not a job where you

go into a workplace and then you work a

set amount of hours and then you get paid

at the end of the day or the end of the

month, and you don't get employed by a

company. It's not the same as a

traditional job, but I disagree that it's

not a job. I think it— I think it is a

job. What is a job? A job is when you do

something and then you get paid for doing

whatever you've done. When you have a job,

you're providing something for other

people. You're providing a service or

information, or you're selling a product.

And I believe that my videos provide some

kind of service, entertainment. Some

people find my videos entertaining, and if

you do, if you do enjoy watching my

videos, then I think that's where the

value of the video lies. I'm not gonna lie

and pretend that making YouTube videos is

difficult because it's not difficult in

the same way that working in an office or

doing a proper job is difficult. It's

difficult in its own way. It has its own

challenges. For example, having to deal

with all the hate comments, having to deal

with people criticizing your life choices

all the time, having to come up with

interesting videos all of the time to

keep, keep you entertained and keep you

watching. Also, you might find this hard

to believe, but I'm not a very confident

person. I don't feel overly confident

about my looks, about how I sound, and I

find it challenging, difficult to make a

simple 10-minute video. It doesn't take me

10 minutes to make a 10-minute video. It

takes me hours of reshooting. I don't just

pick up my phone and then film everything

straight from the first shot. It takes me

several takes. If you don't think that

being a YouTuber is a real job, then that

means that you don't think being an actor

or being a musician or being someone who

works on the television is a real job

either. And if everyone just got proper

jobs where they worked in shops or in an

office doing serious things, then who's

going to make the entertainment? There'd

be no movies, there'd be no TV shows,

there'd be no music, there would be no

videos on YouTube. The world would be so

boring without entertainment. You'd just

come home from your office job and what

would you do? Just sit there staring at

the wall because there's no entertainment

because no one's making things. To

entertain other people. They've all gotten

serious proper jobs. So to answer the

question, why don't I get a job? The

simple answer is because I don't need one

right now. I'm lucky enough, I'm fortunate

enough to be able to make enough money

from this YouTube channel to be able to

live this lifestyle without needing a

proper job. And I'm really grateful for

all of the people who watch my videos that

allow me to, to live this way.

And I know it's not a very stable job.

It's not a stable way of living. YouTube

could shut down anytime. They could ban my

channel. I could get into trouble that

gets my channel terminated somehow, and

then everything will be gone. And then I

would need to get a job. And at that

point, at that moment, I would get a job.

I don't see the point in getting a job

when I don't actually need to get a job.

If, let's say, YouTube shuts down in a few

years' time, and then everything's gone,

then I would get a job when that

happens, not before it happens. I don't

know if I'm still going to be making

videos in 10 years' time or 5 years' time

or 15 years' time. I don't know if I'll be

40 years old and still be making videos

about my life. It depends if I still enjoy

making videos or not. If I didn't enjoy

making them anymore, then I guess I would

stop and find something else that I did

enjoy doing. I didn't start off this

YouTube channel so that I could make it

into my job. I started making videos

because I enjoy making videos, and I still

enjoy making videos.

It's just that somehow along the way, my

hobby of making videos became my job, and

I'm really grateful for that. Not a lot of

people get to say that they get to do

their hobby as their job. If you hate your

job, then there's things you can do about

it. You could save up some money and then

quit, and then focus on doing something

that you're passionate about. Follow your

dreams. Make your dreams come true.

today's cooking. We're going to be making

mac and cheese for today, and these

are our ingredients. We have cheese,

bacon,

Half an onion, which looks kind of gross

at the bottom, and the most important

thing, macaroni pasta. It says it boils in

3 minutes, which is pretty good, but I

don't believe it because there's no way

it's gonna boil in 3 minutes. It's gonna

take at least 10 minutes, isn't it?

Anyway, let's give it a try. So the

most important thing you need when you cut

an onion is you need a sharp knife. This

one's pretty sharp. It's made by Kyocera,

and it's ceramic, not plastic, in case

you're wondering. Okay,

so here's our onion, and what you need to

do, you just cut off the end like this.

Give it a good slicing and make

sure you get, get this bit off as well

because makes it easier to peel off the

skin. You don't want any skin on your

onion because it tastes bad.

So just peel that off, get rid of, get rid

of that stuff. We don't need it. Get out

of here. And then I think,

I think we need fairly small pieces of

onion. We don't want big chunks. So just

cut it like this first and use your

fingers to keep it all together. We don't

want it falling apart. And then just go

like this, basically. It's very easy.

And that's all the preparation we need

today. Everything else you just toss into

the frying pan. Oh, I completely forgot to

show you the sauce. Using today. We're

going to be using this carbonara spaghetti

sauce. It's supposed to be creamy and

cheesy, which is good.

Okay, so it's been 3 minutes and amazingly

it's actually cooked just like it said on

the packet. It's nice and soft. That was

really quick. Okay, so the pasta has

been cooked and it's drained and I put it

into this bowl and we're going to fry the

onions and the bacon. Yay!

Just give this a stir around until it goes

nice and brown, and then we add in the

pasta and then add in the cheesy cream

sauce, and it's finished. It's very easy

Okay, so the onions and the bacon have

finished cooking. We're just gonna pour in

the macaroni like, like this.

Um, I wasn't quite expecting that

to happen, but it's okay, it's okay, no

problems. Just mix it all in.

There was a bit more water than I was

expecting.

And then we add in the creamy cheese

sauce. We can also add some basil to make

it taste nicer,

and some black pepper.

And there we have it, the finished

product. It's cheesy, it's creamy, it's

bacony, and it's oniony mac and cheese.
