5 Reasons EVERYONE will WANT to BUY a Steam Deck!

Hello, welcome back to a new video about

the Steam Deck. So as you may have watched

my previous video, um, I made a bit of a

negative video about the Steam Deck, and

as expected, a lot of you guys were not

very happy about my negative opinions,

and I got plenty of dislikes on the video,

which as a content creator makes me feel

very sad when I get so many dislikes. So

in order to rectify my negativity, I

decided to make a new video about positive

things about the Steam Deck and why it's

gonna be the bestest ever games console in

the entire world and why I'm gonna buy one

and why you should also buy one too. So

one of the biggest problems I have in my

life is, well, I want to play PC games but

I do a lot of traveling to meet girls and

carrying a PC gaming laptop in my backpack

is very heavy and it makes my back hurt.

In the past I've tried using a 17-inch MSI

gaming laptop and then I decided to change

that to a 15-inch MSI gaming laptop,

hoping that it would be lighter and

smaller. Unfortunately, even with the

15-inch MSI gaming laptop with GTX 1060,

it was way too heavy with the power brick

and the mouse and the other peripherals

that go with it, and ended up taking way

too much space in my backpack. I always

dreamed of a small portable device the

size of a Switch that could play PC games

like Rainbow Six and Chivalry 2 and all of

the other wonderful PC games that just are

not available on the Switch.

And then Valve came along and answered my

dreams and prayers with the Steam Deck.

It looks like it's going to be a fully

functioning PC with pretty good specs,

able to run modern games on high and very

high settings. And it's a size of, well,

almost the size of a Switch, maybe

slightly bigger. Great thing about it is,

well, it's just so much smaller and

lighter than a laptop, and you don't need

to have extra things like— there's no

power brick, there's no keyboard, don't

really need all of these extra add-ons,

even though you could have them. You don't

need them because you can just play games

on the Steam Deck as a portable device,

and that's just— wow, so fantastic and

amazing. The other great thing is the

price point. So to get a decent gaming

laptop, you probably have to spend like

£1,000, maybe even £2,000.

And with the Steam Deck, well, the base

model is only going to be about £300, and

then the Next model is going to be about

£500 and then £700. So even the most

expensive model of the Steam Deck with the

highest storage is still going to be way,

way cheaper, probably even half the price.

So when it comes to the price, it's way

cheaper than a gaming laptop. Okay, so

maybe it's slightly more expensive than

the Switch, but the problem with the

Switch is the games on the Switch are

very, very expensive. You want to buy a

new game on the Switch, that's going to

cost you like £50, £60.

Even non-Switch games that have been

ported over to the Switch are really

expensive. Like Burnout recently came out

on the Switch a couple months ago and it's

like £30-40. I don't want to spend £40 for

an old game just because it's been ported

over to the Switch. So even though the

Switch is cheaper, the games are just so

expensive it's going to end up costing you

more. The great thing about the Steam Deck

is, well, most people already have a Steam

account and probably already have a load

of games on it, so you probably won't even

have to buy any games. I won't have to buy

any games because I've already got a loads

of games on my Steam account. I've got Red

Dead Redemption 2, which I haven't even

gotten around to playing yet. I've got GTA

5, I've got, um, Alien: Isolation,

I've got Rainbow Six, Chivalry 2. I've got

loads of stuff that I can just instantly

start playing again without having to

spend more money. Now even though I

complained about, you know, some games on

the PC you kind of have to use keyboard

and mouse, and then having to set up a

keyboard and mouse on the Steam Deck would

kind of make the whole portability factor

of it redundant. But a lot of PC games

don't really need a keyboard and mouse and

can be played perfectly well with

joysticks and like a controller setup.

For example, GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption,

any kind of third-person action-adventure

game would play perfectly fine with the

joysticks in handheld mode. And I can just

imagine playing Chivalry 2 on it too, and

it should be a really great experience

with the joysticks and the shoulder

buttons and the buttons, I think it should

be fine and very comfortable sitting back

on my sofa relaxing and playing a bit of

Chivalry 2 in my hands without having to

lug around a 17-inch gaming laptop

everywhere sitting hunched back over my

table with a keyboard and mouse. The other

great thing about the Steam Deck compared

to the Switch is, well, it's a fully

functioning PC so you can do anything on

it. You can even use MS Paint if you

wanted to. You can download some kind of

internet browser and go on your favorite

websites like pHub. You could probably

even download Streamlabs and do live

streaming on it and connect a webcam and a

microphone to it, which is something I'm

thinking about doing. I think that would

be pretty cool to be able to use a Steam

Deck as a portable live streaming device

because I'm a live streamer on Twitch and

I usually use my phone, which is fine,

but sometimes, you know, I want to do more

stuff with the stream And I was

contemplating buying a laptop to be able

to get Streamlabs, but now I can just get

a Steam Deck and try putting Streamlabs

onto the Steam Deck, and then I could

connect my mic to it, get a little webcam,

and see how that works. Could be quite

interesting. Another great thing about it

is it could also be used to be able to

play the Xbox games. You could get the

Game Pass for Xbox on the Steam Deck So

now the Steam Deck is not only a PC

console, you can also turn it into like an

Xbox portable console. You could also

probably run all kinds of emulators on it.

Probably even Switch games would be able

to run on the Steam Deck using some kind

of simulator hackery. So the Steam Deck is

basically gonna be able to play every

single game in existence. That's just wow,

amazing. And going back to the

livestreaming discussion again, one of the

things I'm really looking forward to doing

is maybe even doing gameplay livestreams.

I could connect it to Streamlabs and then

get some kind of PC game, play the game on

Streamlabs while streaming it to Twitch,

and then we can do like a, like a gaming

livestream stuff, which I couldn't really

do before because my internet wasn't

really good enough back home to be able to

do livestreaming games. But now I'm in a

place where the internet's really good,

I'm actually thinking about Well,

actually, I don't know. When I think about

it like that, I might as well just get a

17-inch gaming laptop because then the

screen's going to be way bigger. Hmm, you

see, this is the constant problem I'm

having trying to decide which one I would

prefer to have: a 17-inch gaming laptop or

Steam Deck. The laptop would have a much,

much bigger screen, but then it's going to

be much, much heavier. I guess it really

depends on how much traveling you think

you're gonna do, and then it really

depends on how much weight you're willing

to carry on your shoulders. Maybe I just

need to do more push-ups and get more

muscles, and then I won't have to worry

about the heaviness of my backpack. Well,

those were my opinions on the Steam Deck

in a more positive light, trying not to be

too negative. I think, yeah, it does look

like a very interesting device. I am

tempted to get one, but I still don't know

if I want one over a gaming laptop. I

guess time will tell, and we shall see.
