Driving is so annoying. You've got to,

I hate it when you go on the motorway

really quickly and then for some reason

everyone in front of you starts braking

and then you're pressing the brake, but

you're still going really fast and you're

like, come on, slow down. Why aren't you

slowing down? I'm pressing the brake. Why

isn't the car slowing down faster? And

then I've got to keep pressing the brake

harder and harder. I don't want to trigger

like an emergency brake and go, oof. I

want to do a smooth brake.

I'm pressing the brake as much as I can

without the car shaking, and it's like the

car is still doing 50

or 40 and the traffic is stopping right in

front of me. Come on.

Having to brake is really annoying.

How was she fine in Japan for ages? Yeah,

I don't know. I said, I said, how did your

family survive for 3 years when you were

teaching English in Japan? And she just

said they didn't or something like that.

It's not— so here, here's the thing.

It's not that she has to,

it's that she wants to.

She wants to help her family.

shift and then I took my mum home and she

was fine anyway, so I didn't have to

cancel it.

But it's okay because I picked up another

block in the afternoon— in the evening.

at home by herself? And the doctor was

didn't she tell you? No, I didn't know

anything. No one told me she— But

my mum was fine. She was just a bit drowsy

from the painkillers, but then it wore off

and then she went to bed. Why do I— what

am I supposed to do, like sit next to her

bed and watch her sleep to make sure she

doesn't explode? I don't know. What are

they worried about?

It's just being silly.

I thought I could do a shift after she got

out of the hospital. I had a Morrison's

block booked that I thought we could go on

after she finishes her procedure. There's

no way she could have done a Morrison's

block. She could barely walk.

She was like all drunk and delirious from

the painkillers.

Yeah, why isn't my sister financially

supporting me if she's so rich? Bad

sister.

My sister should be giving me £500 a month

with her salary. That's the

playing it, but for some reason I could

hear it really loudly. It sounded like

Update on Sunny, she said I can keep the

so she didn't even reply. You know, I sent

a message on stream saying, I canceled the

Sometimes she just ignores stuff I say,

so she didn't even reply to that. She just

said, it's fine, keep the blanket. But it

took her like 12 hours to reply. She

didn't reply yesterday. She replied this

morning at like 10 a.m. in the morning.

So I guess she just couldn't be bothered

to talk about it then.

So I didn't reply. I don't know what to

say. Are we together again or what?

I don't really feel like waiting 12 hours

for a response.

I ended the stream, had dinner, watched a

bit of TV, and then I went to bed about 9

PM. I went to bed.

standard of living to live in Japan

because I was obsessed with the idea of

living in Japan. And I thought it

was worth living in a worse place if I get

to live in Japan. But now I don't care

about Japan anymore.

Every time I had to deliver to some poor

broke area, it stunk of weed, the people

looked scary, it felt miserable,

like post-apocalyptic. I thought,

is this what Russia is like? It's

horrible. Why don't you care about

Japan anymore?

Because I

don't care about speaking Japanese

anymore. I used to be obsessed with

speaking Japanese. I was like a massive

nerd about Japanese and I was

a massive nerd about Japanese culture.

And I thought Japan was like so much

better than England with its fancy trains,

clean streets.

But then I realized it's impossible to

live in Japan if you don't want to work

and you don't want to get married. I mean,

I would get married,

If she was hot and young, but I don't want

to get married to a 40-year-old woman so I

can live in Japan. It's not worth it.

How are the foreigners in Japan?

They're fine, I guess.

Although a lot of them are weird. I

Yeah, I do feel like when I was married in

Japan, things were pretty good compared

How did I pay my credit card off? Well, I

just worked really, really hard for 4

months doing Amazon Flex, double shifts a

day. Every single day. Didn't take a

single day off apart from when Sunny was

here. And then I sold about £2,200 worth

of stocks and assets and paid it

off, paid off the rest with that.

Yeah, I thought living in Japan would be

so cool and the best thing ever.

I kind of just missed my home and missed

my house.

Being stuck in a tiny little apartment for

years and years is really horrible. I

don't know how Japanese people do it

without going crazy. Having space is

probably the biggest luxury in life.

Space and plenty of room between you and

other people. Is probably the

Not having to have a stranger on the other

side of your wall is probably one of the

best things in life.

I hate it when you can hear other people

I really do have to just remind myself how

great this is. The silence.

I'm starting to forget because I've been

home since when? June. But sometimes

I really just do have to remember what it

was like at that guest house and

there's these stupid kids There's about 4

of them. They like riding these dirt cross

motorbikes up and down the road in front

of my house. It's fucking annoying. They

do wheelies and stuff. They're probably

like stupid 16-year-old dicks.

For some reason, they like going up and

down this road. They probably go up the

road and then they go down Pilgrim's Way,

and then they come down Steed Hill, and

then they come back here and they go back

up again. They go down Pilgrim's Way and

they, they might go up Steed Hill. They go

around the Pilgrim's Way roads. Just hope

they crash. They're so irritating. And

then there's another bunch of kids who

like riding quad bikes. Usually there's 2

of them. What is the point?

Like, they all go and do it as a group,

like it's fun riding bikes with their

mates. They all just like ride in a single

file. And it was so fun going stupid.

Can they get a life? How's that fun?

You can't even talk to your mates because

you're wearing helmets and you're riding

motorbikes. Yeah, they're really annoying.

Got to be careful when you're driving out

of this road now though. I mean, at least

it's loud so you know it's coming.

My mum said one of them nearly crashed

into her car because he came round the

corner on the other side, on the wrong

side of the road.

Yeah, what is the point of doing wheelies?

You can't even see yourself doing the

wheelie. You don't really feel the wheelie

apart from you're feeling gravity pull you

back. I've accidentally done

a wheelie on a motorbike because I

couldn't get the motorbike to go, and then

I got annoyed, so I just revved it really

hard and then it went. My friend said

apparently I was doing a wheelie. I didn't

even realize I was doing a wheelie.

I don't know, these kids started appearing

recently riding these motocross sport

Really annoying.

They didn't

used to be here. It's like these annoying

motorbike people are following me around

the world. They're probably white kids.

This is like a white countryside pikey kid

thing, kind of thing to do. Me and my

friends used to do it as well, to be

honest. When me and my friends were around

16, my friend got a motorbike and

we used to ride his motorbike up and down

his dad's farm road.

My dad used to do it too. He had a

motorbike. It's like a countryside thing.

Yeah, I had friends when I was at school.

I had 2 friends, Jay and Rob.

Jay lived on a farm, so he had loads of

space and he was always like buying

motorbikes and stuff. I remember when we

turned 17, they both got mopeds. I

couldn't get one. My dad wouldn't let me

get one. And then they started riding

their 50cc mopeds to school, and I got

ditched whilst I still rode my bicycle.

What are your friends doing now?

I think Rob got married. I haven't talked

to him since we were like 18. Because he

started being racist to me. One day he

just sent me a Facebook message. It was

like, ching chong, ching chong. So I

blocked him and then I never saw him

again. And then the other friend, I don't

know, I talked to him back in 2016. I

think he was saying something about buying

a house.

And then I think he, I think he, he found

out that my YouTube channel blew up and

then he must have seen some videos and

thought, wow, Dan became really weird. We

never talked. He must have seen my YouTube

channel.

Yeah, I was offended. You can't just say

to an Asian guy, ching chong, ching chong.

That's so annoying.

A horrible thing to say when you're

supposed to be friends. I would never

forgive that. Just this low-class thing

to say and do.

It was kind of weird. One time I delivered

a Burger King from Maidstone back to

Harrowsham, and it was actually delivered

to the house that my friend lived in.

So it was weird going back there.

It's because they're making fun of how the

Chinese language sounds. Yeah. Okay.

It does kind of sound like that, I guess.

There are a lot of ing and ong sounds.

Yeah, but I don't really like people

making fun of me because of my Chinese

heritage, because I don't identify as a

Chinese person. I was born and raised in

the UK. Maybe I don't look it, but I

identify as a British person.

British culture has been the biggest

influence on my life growing up here.

There was like a small bit of Chinese

influence from my mum, but that's it

So like all these white guys who were born

in Japan No one would think they're

Japanese because they are white, but they

probably deep down on the inside, they,

they feel like they're a Japanese person

because they grew up and they were raised

in Japan surrounded by Japanese culture

and language. But if they told

anyone, oh, I'm Japanese, they would just

get laughed at. That's what my point with

PewDiePie's kid was.

If you were raised in like a certain

environment, you will feel

like you're from that, that environment,

even if you look differently to everyone

else. That's just how it works.

But there's always going to be people who

go out of their way to point out how

you're not from here or you don't look

like you're from here. And that just kind

of triggers me. Makes me feel sad.

That's why I kept trying to move to Asia.

I thought, oh, I'd be happier in Japan,

I'd be happier in Korea. But Japanese

people won't see you as Japanese. Korean

people definitely won't see you as Korean.

You can try your best to learn the

language and stuff, but they always see

you as much of an outsider as people back

here think of me as an outsider.

That's why I got mad at that friend and I

blocked him.

He wouldn't get it. He's a white kid,

grew up in England.

No one's going to think of him as anything

else than an English guy.

He wouldn't understand my problems.

Why would you want to fit in with them

anyway? Because when you don't fit in,

you stick out, and then you get bullied

and you get treated differently. Usually

you get treated badly.

There's a lot of racism too. Like, ugh,

I'd never date an Asian guy.

Oh, the Asian guy. Like, you get all these

stupid snide remarks and people thinking

of you in a negative way just because

you're not from— you don't look like

you're from here.

When you get stupid kids making comments

about your eyes or shouting ni hao at you,

happens all the time. It's fucking

annoying.

Why do I care about the opinion? It's not

that I care, it's just I want to go— I

want to go on my— I want to go about on my

day without being disturbed. I don't want

some stupid kids yelling at me. I don't

want people treating me differently just

because I look different. I just want to

go through my day

without being disturbed and without my

looks creating like

this problem when I'm trying to

get stuff done on a daily basis.

I never let— I never had my racial

appearance affect me negatively when I was

in Japan, Thailand, or Korea,

because Asian people are not going to make

fun of you for your Asian features. That

would just be weird. Be like they're

making fun of themselves.

But no one ever made fun of me because of

my Western features. I don't really have a

lot of Western features,

and Asian people love Western features,

you know, like prominent nose, big eyes,

fair skin, brown hair.

They love these features. They idolize it.

So you're never going to get bullied for

having white features unless you've got

like a massive nose. Like, I mean, Ice

Poseidon did get bullied a bit in Japan

for his massive nose.

in in Asia without my,

my race, my ethnicity ever really becoming

But you end up having other problems.

Like you get homesick and you start

missing certain things.

And there's— I mean, everything in Japan

is just harder to do because of the

language barrier and because you don't

have a Japanese bank or you don't have

citizenship. So it's

like more difficult to get anything done.

you lived in Japan? It would be such a

headache. I wouldn't even understand

anything they're saying. Like, how do you

say PCP contract in Japanese? Oh,

I don't know what is— like, how do you say

monthly installment plans in Japanese?

How do you say— I don't even know how you

say mileage in Japanese. I don't even know

how you say miles per hour in Japanese.

Well, they use kilometers per hour, but

how do you— how do you say kilometers per

hour? How do you say I'm going 50

kilometers per hour in my car in Japanese?

I don't know how you say it. I don't know

any driving terminology in Japanese,

so it would just be a massive headache

just with the language barrier. By itself.

So you end up needing your girlfriend or

your wife to help you do anything. It

makes you feel like you're a baby.

You can never get anything done by

yourself.

I remember I wanted to get fiber optic

broadband at the apartment when I was

married, and they wouldn't— they sat us

down with like 3 guys from the internet

shop at this table, and they were like

reading out pages after page of contracts,

mumbo jumbo. And then we get to the end

and where I've got to sign and pay,

and then I say, can I pay by my UK debit

card? And then they're all like, oh no,

can't use international cards, you need a

Japanese bank account. So you just wasted

40 minutes of our time when you could have

just said that in the beginning. And then

Chihiro wouldn't sign up for it for me

because she was scared she would sign up

I remember after we finished it, I got the

phone, we went to a Chinese restaurant,

and I was just kind of upset. Because I

felt like I got ripped off. I didn't want

remember I was complaining because they

put the camera lenses on the back But I

whisper into the mic, but they put the mic

on the back too. So when you whisper like

that, the mic doesn't pick up your voice

very well because the mic's on the other

the mic was at the bottom of the phone,

and I could speak like that and talk very

quietly whilst I vlogged. And then I got

annoyed because I couldn't get good audio

from the iPhone X. I was really, really

anal about good audio.

And I just couldn't get good audio with

and it made my skin look terrible. So I

ended up not using it to do YouTube

Airalo eSIM. I tried the eSIMs.

They're really rubbish. They're really

slow and unreliable. I remember buying an

eSIM thinking, oh, I'll just activate it

when I arrive at the airport. And then I

tried activating it and it just wouldn't

work. I couldn't figure out how to get it

to work, so I gave up and I just bought a

SIM card at the airport. Yeah, I remember

last year when I went to Japan, I ordered

a pocket Wi-Fi to arrive at the Lawson,

and then there were, there were 2 Lawsons

at the airport, and I kept going between

the 2 Lawsons trying to find my pocket

Wi-Fi, and they kept telling me it's not

had to give up and just go to my
