You've got to pass the Japanese theory test and the practical test. I don't know if they do it in English, but if you're

English— I mean British— You don't need to do that. You can just get the international driving license and you can drive. So I could drive in Japan.

It's funny because it's like, um, Japan doesn't think that the American driving test is hard enough and that American people suck at driving, but they think the British driving test is hard enough and people who pass the British driving test have have to be actually good at driving.

I don't know what the American driving test involves, but I— from what I've heard, it's pretty easy. Like, you just get in an automatic car and you just drive down the highway for like 10 minutes, do some turns, do a parking. I don't know why everyone thinks, or why I used to think, the British driving test was

really difficult. That's what everyone makes you think. Even my driving instructor was like, oh, you made 2 mistakes today. I don't know if you're gonna pass. If you had done that in the test, you would have failed.

I passed the driving test without any single mistakes, not even one minor fault. Is it because we drive on the other side of the road? No, I think it's because It's known worldwide that the American driving test is really easy

and it's not challenging at all. So

for countries that do have a stricter driving test, they're not going to let Americans drive there unless they get the Japanese driving license.

So I was thinking like silly things. I could just fly over to Japan and be like, hey, I, I got a driving license. Imagine me driving an RV. I'd probably crash it. Driving an RV must be completely different to driving a car.

Have you seen the driving test in China? They have like a massive obstacle course. It's like, um, big wide area and they've painted like a test course on the tarmac and it's like It's got all these different challenging driving stuff on it.

You got to keep in the lines.

I don't know why I'm so scared of driving. I think it's a lack of confidence. Most people can drive without any problems because most people don't have crippling anxiety and they just, they're just normal people. It's all about confidence when you're driving.

I think her period's coming again. I can always tell when her period is coming because she starts acting weird. She starts saying weird stuff like, oh, I think you should find another girl that you really love. I'm not good enough for you. And then she'll start being really insecure, and then she'll start saying like all this really

I don't even know how that conversation started. We were just in bed and I was messing around like usual,

She started talking about Valentine's Day. She was saying, you know, this month is a special month, and I was like, is it your birthday again?

I hate Valentine's. It's so annoying. All these stupid companies create these dumb holidays like Easter and Valentine's and blah blah blah just so they can sell crap like cards and chocolate. And us men, we can see straight through it. We're like, oh, they're just trying to get money out of us. But women don't get it. It's like

women fall for it so easy and they're like, oh, it's Valentine's Day. My boyfriend better buy me something. Oh, it's Easter. My boyfriend better get me something. And then if you don't get them anything, they're like, oh, my boyfriend doesn't love me. Can't they see it's just stupid corporations inventing these stupid, dumb holidays so they can sell

us shit? Crap. Why don't women get it? Now I got to go and buy some stupid Valentine's Day rubbish just so she doesn't start crying about, oh, you don't love me. Next will be birthdays, and then next will be stupid whatever holiday.

Oh, I hate all these stupid holidays and birthdays. I buy a gift and buy that and buy this. It's just a waste of money.

So now I don't know if I'll actually buy some. Maybe I'll just go to 7-Eleven, buy like a little box of chocolates. Why are women so annoying? They're so easy to please in one way, I guess,

And then she wants to go to her parents' house. I don't know why she calls her parents her parents when really it's just parent. She said her mum and dad don't live together and they don't really like the dad or talk to— why didn't she say, I'm going to my mum's house? So I don't know if she

wants me to come to her mum's house. We talked about it earlier, like a few months ago, and I said I don't really want to go. And then she was really upset. She was like, well, why don't you want to see my family? So I said to her I don't really like people,

so I'm not sure if she's going to go alone or she's gonna ask me to come.

If I go, I could make a video about what happened, why I hate my girlfriend's mum or something.

I don't really want to go, but then if she's gonna sulk at me for not going, Then I might as well go.

I don't really like the mum because she was trying to break us up in the beginning of the relationship, and I'm pretty sure the mum was the one that told the stupid crazy ex about us, and she had something to do with him showing up at the house because the girlfriend said her mum likes the ex because

he's Thai and he owns a business.

The mum was, you know, on the first day when I got to Thailand and I went on a date with my girlfriend for the first time The stupid mum was phoning constantly trying to cockblock me, and then my girlfriend was seriously considering not going

any further with us. She was like, oh, I'm not sure if I should be doing this, my mum's against it. And I was saying, you're 35 years old, you shouldn't be listening to what your mum says. And then she was like, oh, this is Thailand, we have to listen to our parents. And I said, in England, we

just tell our parents to fuck off.

Imagine listening to your parents when you're 30-something. You tell your parents to go get screwed. I'm an adult. Who the hell do you think you are telling me what to do?

That's the annoying thing about Asia. They suck up to their parents so much, and people are scared of their parents in Asia.

They're actually scared of their parents, scared of being disowned, written out of the inheritance or the will,

banned from coming to family events. Asian parents are sick, I think, especially Indian and Chinese parents. It's called tiger mums. They're just mentally sick, don't you think? Like, they emotionally blackmail their children and they say stuff like, oh, you You're not my daughter, you're not my son. And then they say all this really hurtful stuff like, oh,

I'm so ashamed having a son like you. And then they make threats like, oh, you're gonna get nothing when I die because you want to date a Black man. They're just sick in Asia. I think the culture is sick. So old-fashioned BS.

You angered many Asian mums. Well, Asian mums need to listen up. And get with the times. It's not bloody 1849 anymore. You're not going to sell your daughter off to some village man for a donkey. It's 2023 and we don't have to listen to you when we're 30-something.

You better listen to us, otherwise we're not going to look after you when you're old and dying. So shut the fuck up. Mind your own business. Stop meddling. Stop trying to control us.

For me, going to Japan is like when Muslims go to Mecca. It's a spiritual journey, it's an emotional journey. All the memories I've had since I was 18 or 20 come flooding back— the smells, the sounds. It's a very powerful experience, and I prefer to be alone for it, to soak in the atmosphere. Sometimes When I'm in

Japan on my first few days, I just, I just sit outside in silence, not doing anything, just soaking up the atmosphere.

I don't know if that would happen in the UK. Well, they would tell you no filming, and if you refused, I think they would call the police if you don't leave. Because they do have the right to tell you not to film in a store.

It's strange so many stores don't let you film.

No. My main goal in life is to not have to get a job. Because I want to be a content creator and a stock market investor. I don't want to work in Tesco's or McDonald's. That's just lame.

don't say good morning when you come in? Because I can't be bothered. It's just like a stupid word. I can't be bothered to say good morning every single day.

I'm just really weird like that. I don't like to follow the social norms. In the first few days or weeks, I will just obey, but then after a while, I'll get fed up and give up trying.

YouTube isn't a stable job. You could lose your views. Well, that applies to anything. Look at Google. They laid off 10,000 people. Amazon fired like 20,000 people. Twitter fired like 90% of its staff when Elon Musk took over. So even if you're like a coder working for Google, your job's not safe. You could get fired as well.

And then you say, oh yeah, well, I could just get a new job coding for a different country. I mean, different company.

Yeah, that's true. I can't really just jump over to TikTok and start again because I'll lose all my viewers. How am I going to tell you guys that I'm on TikTok now if my channel got deleted? I guess I'd tweet it out and post it on Discord, but I don't have that many followers there.

I guess I'd move to Twitch, do Twitch full-time.

I will be doing Twitch again next week when Hogwarts Legacy comes out. I'm gonna get the deluxe version so I can get 72 hours early access.

TikTok might get banned. Oh yeah, because it's a Chinese company. The only alternative site to YouTube would be Twitch. But that's not a video website, it's a streaming website. But I do mostly make— I don't know, I think most of my money still comes from videos actually, but streaming makes up a large part of it.

Well, as long as I don't get banned. Not getting banned and trying to get views are my main goals.

I think now my channel is more low-key and not really, not really being watched by a huge amount of people. The chances of getting a strike— I don't want to jinx it, but I think the chances of getting a strike are much lower now. So there's less haters. There's also less big channels making videos about me.

How much do I make? How much do I earn nowadays?

Um, October, November, December, I was making about $2,000 a month. They were pretty good months, but January's been bad. I've only made about £1,400 end of January. Hopefully things pick up February with this new Harry Potter game.

Fingers crossed my Harry Potter video gets some good views. I've made some Harry Potter videos on my second channel, but none of them are getting views for some reason.

This is so rubbish. I think I made some funny arguments. I also said, how come they don't let you fly the flying

car from Harry Potter? I'm hoping someone says Because the game's set in 1890, dumbass. Cars haven't even been invented.

They should make a Harry Potter game in the future

so it's like cyberpunk, and Harry Potter's not really in the game. He's like a, a character in the background, but he's like 50 years old and it's all cyberpunk and futuristic. That'd be pretty funny.

January is slow for content creators. Yeah, most YouTubers don't even post anything in January. Look at Chris Broad. He posted what? I don't think he even posted anything in January. Now he's back.

How come viewers don't find that upsetting? Don't, don't you as a viewer find it kind of weird Or find it disappointing that YouTubers care so much about the money. Because you look at December, everyone starts pumping out loads of videos like Vlogmas

because the CPM is really good. You get a lot of money in December from ads. And then in January, all of a sudden everyone's so quiet and not making anything.

They don't mention it's about money, but if you know anything about YouTube, then you'll know it's about money. But no one seems to really bring it up and say, oh, I'm disappointed in you, Chris. I thought you did it because of the passion, not because of the money. How can you argue that you're doing it for passion,

not for money, if you refuse to post in January because the money's lower? What a bunch of fakers.

My plan is to stream on Twitch Harry Potter, and if anything video-worthy happens, I want to clip it whilst I'm streaming and then post it to YouTube, straight to YouTube. But I'm not sure how you do that because on Twitch you can't scroll back the live stream. There's no rewind button like there is on YouTube.

So I'd have to end the stream and then edit the VOD to post to YouTube. I'm not sure what kind of videos I would post. I'm gonna have to just put out a load of stuff like first 20 minutes of gameplay in Hogwarts Legacy, how to become a dark wizard.

Dark Wizard build and playstyle tutorial, something like that. Maybe I'm just jealous because there's all these other channels making loads of Harry Potter videos now. They're getting huge views. Like 100K, 150K, and

they're just posting updates about the trailer and little bits of information. They managed to stretch it to 10 minutes, but I think they've been making Harry Potter update videos for the last 5 months, so they've built up an audience who are interested in that. And now I'm a bit late with the Hogwarts Legacy stuff, I think.

His streams are pretty boring though. His gear is good and the stream quality is really good.

He's made a load of videos like eating insects in Thailand. They get 2K views. So sad. You see a massive dead channel like that and trying to do streams and they only get 100 viewers.

Why doesn't he go back to doing what he used to do? Those weird social— social— what

and land because they want to build like 20 houses on the property. They want to knock down the house and then just build like 20 houses on the land.

I'm not sure how much they offered.

My sister said it would be so sad if that happened, all my dad's hard work just knocked down.

My dad added a lot to the house. The conservatory, the kitchen extension. My dad fitted new windows and doors, fixed the roof, knocked down the— my granddad used to have these coal bunkers. It was like concrete chambers where you would shovel coal into,

and all these weird concrete structures all around the property.

I think my granddad really loved concrete. There was a greenhouse and there was like a big shed. My dad knocked it all down, put up a new shed,

and my dad built the second pond.

I'm not sure if my granddad actually built the entire house or if he had help. It just seems kind of crazy, one man building a house. I did watch my uncle build his house because he built his house next door to us. We split the land into 2. My uncle bought the second bit and built a house

there, and I used to play on the, on the construction when I was a kid. He would let me climb up the scaffolding and climb up the ladders and stuff, which is kind of weird now I think about it. Isn't that really dangerous?

But he had some builder friends helping him too, but he basically did almost everything, like the bricklaying, the insulation, the wiring, fitting the windows. I don't know how my dad and uncles know so much about Building stuff. How— where'd you learn that from? Did you just Google it? Did you just know naturally? I don't know how to

build a house. Put some concrete, mix some cement, lay some bricks.

Would you want the house or a sweet 400K in your bank account? If I had 400K, Probably put it into the stock market to get dividends and then end up losing all of it. But the goal would be to make safe investments. Just use maybe 5% or 10% on speculative stuff, but have it mostly in dividend stocks

and blue chips and safe stuff.

Because if you had $400K and you got 5% dividend yield, You could make like $20K, $30K a year off dividends.

I wish I had like $100K,

then maybe I could make $10K off dividends.

With only $20K, you're gonna make like $2K a year off dividends at most.

If you have a 10% yield— 10% yields are pretty risky though, it's called a dividend trap. A healthy dividend would be between 2% and 5%. Because

what would happen is you get like a 10% dividend yield, but then the stock never goes up and it's like a dying company.

A bit worried about Intel because they slashed, um, they slashed jobs and they gave a pay cut for its employees so that they can maintain the dividend. So instead of prioritizing their own workers and the business, they're prioritizing the shareholders. I don't know if that's a good tactic.

They're willing to let the company die just so they can keep paying the dividend.

So I don't know if Intel's a good, good stock to get.

but they just have bags of sauces and fluids all over the place. It's weird.

Southeast Asia is very different to East Asia, like Korea, Japan, China.

I feel like without European or Japanese intervention, most of these Southeast Asian countries would have never really progress very far.

And you notice, especially in Thailand, every single millionaire, billionaire, or business owner, they're all Chinese. So it's like, without the Chinese, where would these countries be? They'd probably be nowhere, living in the jungle.

It seems like the more intervention a country has from Chinese or European people, the more modern it becomes.

It's weird, isn't it? I don't want to sound racist or anything, but There definitely seems to be more of an—

and some races just seem to be more industrial than others. Like they have more of an industrial nature and mindset to,

to build and improve and create,

whilst others just seem like they just want to sit around doing nothing all day.

I hate doing sit-ups. It takes ages. I can do like 50 sit-ups without getting tired. So you do over 50 before you actually start getting the muscle aches. Takes a long time. I like lifting heavy weights because I just lift it a few times, then I'm done. I don't need to do like 100 reps.

I wish I could go to the gym by myself. I don't like having to wait for her, but I feel nervous because I have to interact with the woman who sits at the entrance.

I think I started to get belly fat because I'm eating a lot of junk food and I'm not moving, just sitting at home at the computer. So I'm not really burning a lot of calories because I'm not doing anything, but I'm eating all these high-calorie junk food stuff.

So either I start moving more or I start eating less.

I'm not eating much, which is the weird thing. I'm probably not even eating more than 1,000 calories a day, but I'm probably not burning anything every day.

Yeah, Japan looks annoying with the mask rules still. Imagine going to the gym having to wear a mask. I would just pull it down below my nose, but you need to breathe out your mouth when you're exercising. You need oxygen. You can't just breathe in your nose. How are you going to breathe with a mask on? That

sounds so silly.

It feels like the lockdowns were such a long time ago. That really was— it's probably going to be one of the most annoying moments of all of our lives. We're going to look back at those days, 2020,

2021. Hopefully we never have to see a lockdown ever again. Just so boring. Couldn't do anything, couldn't go anywhere, couldn't book a hotel, couldn't fly to places.

Everywhere shut down. It was crazy, this COVID stuff.

It felt like it was never going to end, didn't it?

The most annoying thing about it was not being able to travel and being stuck at home with my mum. We had such massive fights in 2021.

Over some really dumb stuff.

Like, she complained I didn't tighten the coffee jar, so I just bought my own coffee.

Living with my mum's hard.

I don't think anyone lives with my mum and has a good time. Even my sister gets fed up. She'll message me sometimes saying they had a big fight

over something really stupid.

And my mom keeps saying stuff like, oh, I wish I lived alone again, it was so much easier.

Why'd you have kids then? What's the point? Why, why even bother having a family if you just want to live alone? Live alone then.

I can live with my sister fine, we don't have any problems. My sister complained that that after I have a shower there's a lot of hair, so I started to, to wipe the floor. I mean, she was right, there was a lot of hair. I didn't realize so much of my hair drops out after I have a

shower,

but after I started tidying up my hair, we didn't have anything else to fall out over.

I remember when I was a teenager and I started cutting my own hair. I would just cut it and let it fall all over the floor. My dad would come in and he'd be like, hope you're gonna clean up this mess, Daniel. And I would ignore him and he would just come in with the vacuum and clean

it himself. You see how OCD my dad was? Just a bit of hair on the floor would trigger him so much he would stop everything he's doing to get the vacuum out and clean my floor. Because he knew I wouldn't do it. Well, I would do it eventually. I just wouldn't do it straight away. It's kind of

weird though. I just cut my hair, let the hair just go all over the place.

There's one time I finished having a bath and I let the bath drain, but it takes a long time for the water to drain. So I got dressed, went back to my bedroom, but whilst it was draining, my sister went in there because she wanted a bath and it was like full of hair. She was— she didn't

complain to me, but I could hear her tutting and sighing.

I feel really hot after having a shower or bath. I don't want to stay in the bathroom because it gets all steamy, so I want to dry and then get changed, go back to my bedroom, and then after 5 or 10 minutes I'll go back in and then clean up. But then people will go in there whilst—

before I get the chance to clean it. Living with people is hard. The good thing about my girlfriend is she's really not tidy.

Her hair is everywhere and she doesn't care, which is nice because she doesn't care if my hair gets everywhere. My hair is only in the shower room when I dry my hair, but there's hair all over the floor, long hair, and I spend— I have to spend like 5 or 10 minutes every few days sweeping the floor.

Got these static dry cloth things that makes hair cling to it. It's quite good. Need a vacuum cleaner really, but her hair gets everywhere.

She's not really clean. She's kind of lazy too, which is nice cuz I've had some very OCD girlfriends. Jahira wasn't too bad.

But my Korean ex, she was crazy with the OCD. She would like tut and sigh if she even saw one tiny hair lying somewhere.

And then I'd have dinner, and then after dinner I'd have dessert with my coffee, and I'd watch— I used to watch Below Deck every day. I like that show. It was so trashy. Below Deck is kind of like the RV stream, so It's like a bunch of drama queens stuck on a small space.

Eat some bugs. Sam Pepper's doing that and it's not working, is it? Sam Pepper has all these Thailand videos like dating a ladyboy and it's got 5K views.

Just don't think this stuff's gonna go viral.

I don't know why, it's like the only thing that works for me is do not buy XXX video game, or do not buy a Steam Deck, why I regret buying Steam Deck. Why is it all negative clickbait that only gets views? Everything else I do never gets views.

It just didn't feel worth wrecking my whole life just for that amount of money. If it was like $10,000 a month, I would have kept going with it, maybe. Gotten crazier and crazier, but that you reach a point where you peak, you get peak craziness, and there's not really much else you can do unless you like kill

someone.

You hit peak crazy and then there's no way to escalate the drama anymore, and then it's just like downhill from there.

Being a drama-based channel is not easy. It's easy because you can just do low-effort clickbait, but then when you run out of drama, you're kind of screwed.

Mimic Keemstar. Yeah, Keemstar's clever because he, he uses other people's drama. He never really does his own drama unless he's beefing with another YouTuber, but he doesn't do like his own personal life drama.

And he always stays relevant because he's always latching on to whoever's relevant at the time.

He's pretty clever.

Sometimes I feel like I want to do something crazy in Japan for a stream, like trying to cycle all across Japan or trying to walk across Japan. But I think I'd get bored after a day or two, and then people would find it boring as well. So I'd lose— I'd lose motivation because I'd be like, oh, I

get the same viewers if I just sit in a room. What's the point?

I feel like I want to do something interesting in Japan, but I don't know what. Date a Japanese woman and marry her again.

That would be funny. I think the mistake I made with this girlfriend is I got too scared. I should have showed her the channel and made her part of the channel.

I kept thinking in the back of my mind, it'd be funny if I got a girlfriend. And then she came on stream and stuff.

And then if she's gonna get upset and dump me, then whatever. But I got too scared about her finding out about it. Now I feel like it's too late to do that.

You know that channel called Force Strategy Gaming? He also has like a dead channel, Force Gaming. He was on the Total Biscuit podcast a few times. He's got like a million subs,

and if his video doesn't get picked up by the algorithm, only gets like 50K views. But he's pretty good at picking trending topics, but it's kind of hit and miss for him as well. These gaming channels, they don't really build a fan base. They just kind of gather subs and grow, but the views don't really grow unless

they go viral. So they're relying on the game they're talking about being trending.

Sometimes there's footsteps that sound a lot like my girlfriend's footsteps.

MrBeast, he's gonna overtake PewDiePie in views as well soon. I can't believe it. He has like 130 million subs, 22 billion views. PewDiePie has 28 billion views.
