Helldivers 2 - BEST Stratagems For Helldive mode (MAX Difficulty Tips)

Hello, welcome back to a new video. So

today I'll show you the best stratagems to

use for Helldive difficulty when doing

missions such as the ICBM mission or the

fuel pump mission, where you've actually

got to run around the map and collect

samples and complete objectives instead of

just sitting at the top of a base spamming

sentry turrets and killing loads of

automatons. So this is my favorite

mission. I like the ICBM mission because

It makes you run all around the map and do

different objectives, and that's a great

way to actually get around the map and

pick up different samples and try and get

the super rare, the super samples, the

uranium samples that are actually pretty

hard to farm. It takes quite a long time

to get a lot of them, and you need a lot

of them to upgrade your ship modules. So

these are the stratagems I like to choose.

So first of all, you definitely want the

laser. The laser is great for crowd

control, killing swarms, and it's also

great for killing high-armored things like

the Armored Charger and the Bile Titan go

down pretty quickly with the laser. So

laser is a great jack-of-all-trades kind

of orbital strike. And then I also

recommend the rail cannon strike. This is

an extremely powerful one-shot strike that

can one-shot the Armored Chargers, and it

can do a lot of damage to the Bile Titan.

Usually a rail cannon plus a bit of

lasering will be able to take down a Bile

Titan pretty easily. As for the backpack,

I really like the Guard Dog Rover. This is

a floating drone that follows you around

shooting a laser beam, and it's really

great for picking off the weaker small

insects that start chasing you. And if you

need to retreat and pull back, this is

great for covering you, giving you some

covering fire and thinning out some of the

packs and swarms of insects trying to

chase you down. It's really good and

useful. I also really like the Mortar

Sentry because it's great at helping you

pick off things that are far away. And if

you're playing solo, this is great to help

you. You've got the Rover Backpack and the

Mortar Sentry kind of acting as like

AI-controlled team members that can help

you. It's also great for high-armored

enemies because it's got the explosive

shells, and it's great for taking out

swarms. I'm also going to pick the

Vitality Enhancement. And for the armor,

I like to go for— I think light armor is

better because you can just move faster.

And reduces range at which enemies can

detect wearer by 30% is also very useful

because You want to be avoiding patrols if

you can avoid them. There's no use trying

to attack everything and wasting all of

your supplies. Or maybe you want to go for

the Bone Snapper. That's good because you

get extra 2 stims, increases stim effects

duration by 2 seconds. So it's kind of up

to you. I prefer light armor. I think it's

better. And as for my weapon of choice, I

really like the Slugger shotgun. It's

actually medium armor penetrating. I've

tested it out and And it definitely

penetrates the armored walkers. Doesn't

penetrate the armored chargers, but it's

definitely more penetrating than the other

shotguns, especially the Breaker Spray and

Pray. This has a very high rate of fire,

but the bullets just bounce off of

everything. It's pretty rubbish apart from

clearing the swarms, the small insects.

So I definitely really like the Slugger.

It can one-shot nearly everything, very

powerful, and it's got good capacity, 16

shots. Oh my god, you won't believe this.

I literally just landed right next to the

super samples, the uranium super samples,

which is kind of a pain in the backside to

find these things. So you search the whole

map. I just landed right next to it. I

don't even know if I'm gonna survive the

mission. So my first tip would be if you

get the super samples, which are the

rarest things and probably the things

you're looking to collect the most, Take

it over to the extraction point and drop

it off by holding X, and you can drop the

samples like that, you see, and they'll

just stay there for the whole game. They

won't disappear. You can pick them up

again when you extract. I don't know if

I'm going to be able to extract though.

So you can see we've got this research lab

ahead of us. I kind of want to bombard it

with my mortar sentry. Place it over

there, and you also want to call down your

guard dog rover. As quickly as you can,

preferably before you place the mortar.

I've got someone joining me, so hopefully

I can actually complete this mission. I

got kicked from about 4 different matches

because I accidentally— I don't even

know what I did. I accidentally

air-striked my own team.

Hold on. Oh no, it's gonna destroy my

mortar. Oh my god, it just killed me and

destroyed everything. That was not a good

start, but we can hopefully just collect

the super samples back again quickly.

Right now all I care about are the super

samples. I lost my mortar straight away.

Very annoying when the charger guy goes

straight for the mortar or the sentries.

A grenade can take out these bile spewers,

usually with one shot like this. Gotta be

very careful. Oh, my teammate left.

I don't know what is going on. I join

groups, they kick me. People join my

group, they leave straight away. Am I

getting a reputation for sucking at this

game or something? What is going on?

Well, guess I'm doing a solo run. My

stratagem setup— layout setup—

it's pretty good for solo play as well.

You got Laser for the big guys. That

armored Charger is gonna get wrecked.

Got a load of these spewer types spawning

on this map today, and I've run out of

grenades. Look at the Guard Dog Rover just

destroying these tiny ones.

You've also got these mortar-type spewers,

which are very annoying.

So you're gonna be kiting a lot if you're

playing alone,

and you just want to drag them around

whilst being aware of your surroundings.

Look at the minimap often to make sure

you're not running blindly into a patrol.

That's one down.

Nearly out of ammunition here.

You see, this slugger shotgun penetrates

their armor. Other weapons, other

shotguns, get deflected off those armor

plates, but this slugger shotgun

penetrates them, even though on the

description it says only light

penetration. It definitely has medium

penetration. I think they accidentally

wrote it incorrectly.

Oh my God, oh my God, this is not good.

We got 2 new team members joining.

Oh, this is not good. Oh, he nearly got me

If I can do a rail cannon strike here on

that charger,

would be great.

So this is the gameplay that you'll be

doing on Helldive difficulty if no one's

helping you. Oh,

it gets pretty intense, especially when

you're holding all of the supersamples.

I mean, you can easily go in and collect

them again, but it's just a pain having to

do that. So what you can do is head

over to the extraction point and then just

drop the samples here. And now you don't

have to worry where the samples are

because they'll just stay there.

Though you can drop this one as well.

Um, you could actually just choose to fail

the mission and get extracted,

because I don't know, this team is pretty

sucky. Oh my god, and the Bile Titan.

Oh look, sample. Oh, I just died as I

picked it up. But it doesn't really matter

if you die, as long as the samples are at

the extraction point.

You see there's an enemy patrol over

there. I think they've seen me. Oh no, I

don't think they have seen me because I'm

prone, but my team seems to be

attacking them. Oh, if you want to

stealth, the Guard Dog Rover is not great

because it just randomly attacks

If you've run out of options, you can

always chuck the resupply thing at the

chargers, and that usually one-shots them.

Uh, it's gonna destroy my mortar. No! Why

do they always go for the mortars straight

away? Watch this. 8 seconds. 6.

5, 4, 3,

2, 1. Oh, usually it

one-shots them. I guess not.

And don't forget to use terrain to— oh,

didn't work. I was gonna say use terrain

to your advantage and stand on rocks,

but he still got me.
