How to play Switch Games on an iPad Pro!

Hello and welcome to my video, how to play

Nintendo Switch games on an iPad Pro.

So I have the Nintendo Switch Lite, and

even though it's great for playing games,

one of the big problems I have with it is

the screen is just kind of small, and the

iPad Pro screen is much bigger and much

better for playing Switch games on it.

Now you may not know that you can actually

play any Switch game on the iPad Pro So

as you can see, I'm playing Mario Kart

now. The problem is I can't film and play

at the same time, but yeah, it is

controlling. Look, if I move left and

right— oh, it's just kicked me out of the

game. Okay, so I've set up my camera

on a tripod and you can see that I'm

playing the game. It's not a recording of

a game, I'm not pretending that I'm

playing it, I am actually playing the

game. So you can see I'm moving left and

right to change the map selection,

and I'll just show you what it looks like

when you're playing Nintendo Switch games

on your iPad Pro. Now this also works on

the 12-inch version of the iPad Pro.

I'm using the 11-inch version of the iPad

Pro, and I'll show you how to do it in a

minute after I show you some gameplay.

Oh look, there's loads of Japanese people.

What a surprise. Isn't it the middle of

the night in Japan? What are they doing

staying up playing Mario Kart? Anyway,

let me show you how great the game plays,

and you can see I am actually playing it.

I'll just put my hands— show my hands here

so you can see me playing it.

It plays perfectly well, as you would

expect.

So the first thing you need, you need a

controller, otherwise this is not going to

work. And secondly,

you need an iPad Pro. It doesn't have to

be a Pro, it could be iPad Air.

If you're poor and you can't afford an

iPad Pro. Nothing wrong with being poor

and buying an iPad Air. They're pretty

good as well.

Hold on, I'll play this game and then I'll

show you how I've set it up.

Stupid game, keeps getting stuck on

the edges.

I'll also show you some other games to

show you that this works with any game on

the Switch, not just Mario Kart, but any

game you can think of that's on the

Switch. This technique, this method will

work.

So hopefully this match doesn't drag on

too long.

Okay, so 7th place, and that's

the end of the match. And I'll show you

what else you can do with it. Let me see

my games. I've got Rogue Company, Darkest

Dungeon, Rocket League, Mortal Kombat.

Which game would be quick to start up?

I don't know, maybe Rogue Company

won't take too long to start up. Whilst

it's starting up, I'll show you how I've

set it up. So yes, this is

my phone stand. I've got some oat milk,

and then you need a toilet paper roll to

put your Nintendo Switch stand on, which

is going to hold the iPad. And we've got

the Switch here on the tripod. So yeah,

that is the setup.

And you want to go into the camera app on

your iPad and just readjust

it so you can get a closer view of the

screen. Maybe you want to zoom in a little

bit like this to make it bigger, make it

fit the screen, and maybe you want to turn

off the lights in your house.

The one problem is, I guess, the quality

isn't amazing. You get these

cross-hatching things.

So I'm playing Rogue Company

on my iPad Pro. Turn the lights back on,

otherwise you can't see anything.

Do do do do do do. Look at that!

That is sweet, sweet bro.

Sick dude. That is dope man.

So dope, my bruv. Dope,

my bro. That is sick,

my homie. Okay, so we're gonna load

up some Rogue Company, show you how this

bad boy plays. I could try the video mode.

I don't know if that would be better.

Hmm.

I think video mode looks better.

Maybe, uh, make sure the

exposure— you can set the focus and

do an exposure lock or change,

change the brightness or the darkness so

there's more contrast. Okay, let's play

some Rogue Company, see what it's like.

So much better when you've got a bigger

screen. I don't know why Nintendo didn't

include this as an option. The Switch

screen is so tiny, it's about— it's just

slightly bigger than my phone screen, and

it's supposed to be a gaming console. Why

didn't they include a USB cable that you

could directly connect it to some kind of

monitor or tablet or TV so

that you can play on a bigger screen? And

don't give me that, oh, why don't you get

the dock with the Switch original?

Why don't you just dock it to your TV?

Well, then I have to carry around this

massive docking brick with me, don't I?

Why can't they just make it a cable and

not a dock? And I sold my Switch original

because I didn't think I'd play anymore,

and then I felt like playing again, so I

got the Switch Lite instead because I

didn't think that I would really care that

much, but turns out I do. I would

like a bigger screen when I'm playing my

games.

So turn up the volume a bit.

So you can see, yeah, it plays Rogue

Company perfectly well, plays Mario Kart,

plays anything you have on your Switch.

Look at these noobs, they can't keep up

with me because I've got a controller.

That was a lucky shot.

I still think the iPad Pro is a better

gaming device than the Switch in most

cases, but when it comes to shooting

games, you really do need a controller,

and using the touchscreen to play a

shooting game is just not very fun. So I

got $12,000 to upgrade my guy.

I'm gonna get I think I might get this

LMG.

It would be great if they just start off

on the ground so you don't have to do this

stupid flying down to the ground thing

every time. It would save a lot of time.

It just feels kind of pointless having to

fly down. Just start off at the ground.

Makes more sense to me.

See that? That's how you do it.

The only trouble is when you're doing

this, sometimes— well, not sometimes,

every time The iPad camera is

going to turn itself off.

It's going to turn itself off after a few

minutes because you're not using it. That

is one problem.

So yeah, that is how you play any Switch

game on the iPad Pro. Hope you liked this

And yes, this is my original idea. I

didn't find it out from someone else,

came up with it all by myself. Using my

own brain and my own intelligence, I came

up with this fantastic idea,

and I think it's pretty good. Look, I'm

playing games on my iPad Pro that

don't even exist on the iPad Pro. You

can't play Rogue Company or Mario Kart

Deluxe on the iPad Pro. That would never

happen. It should

happen. Nintendo are stupid for not

letting Apple have their games on the

iPad, but you know what they're like.

They want you to get their stupid Switch

console and they want to protect their,

their stuff.

But how amazing would it be if they

partnered up with Apple and then you could

actually get real Switch games on the iPad

Pro and use the Pro Controller? That would

be the best thing ever. And so many

people who have iPads would buy Switch

games, and then Nintendo would make money,

Apple would make money. Why don't they do

it? I don't understand.

Oh, we only want our Nintendo games on our

Nintendo consoles because we think we'll

make more money that way. Yeah, well,

some people are just never gonna buy a

Switch, but they might have an

iPad and they might get some Switch games

if they looked enticing.
