My girlfriend knows about my YouTube channel

Hey, it's me again. It's kind of painful

for me to talk right now because a few

days ago I was eating dinner and I bit

down really hard on the inside of my mouth

and lots of blood came out and it swelled

up and it's still really painful now.

It's swollen and it's very painful and

my lips were dried and it cracked here and

it swelled up here as well, so it's It's

very painful to talk, but I really wanted

to make this video today because I don't

have anything else to do. So last night,

for some reason, I thought it was a good

idea to finally tell my girlfriend that I

have a YouTube channel and I make videos.

I don't know why I decided to tell her. I

think it was because I had a really nice

day with her yesterday. I feel like I

bonded with her, and she bought me a nice

Christmas present. Look.

She got me a smart keyboard for my iPad,

which I've wanted for a while now, but I

didn't want to spend my own money to get

it. And now that I finally have it, I feel

really happy with it. It's so much easier.

To type on the iPad when you have a

keyboard. The touch keyboard is so

irritating to use, and it covers up half

of the screen on the iPad when the touch

keyboard pops up. So it's really nice to

have a proper physical keyboard. Anyway,

after we finished shopping, we came back

to the apartment. We had a nice meal that

I cooked for her.

And we got into bed and we cuddled and we

had this conversation about jobs. And this

is when it kind of slipped out. I just had

this urge to tell her about YouTube. I

said to her, um, translating isn't

the only job that I have. I have another

secret job. And she asked me what that was

and I couldn't resist. I said, well, you

know, I'm always taking videos when we're

out together. And I said, I upload those

videos to YouTube and I make money from

those videos. And she was really surprised

at first, and then she asked me, what kind

of videos do I make? And I just gave her a

fairly vague answer. I said, I make videos

about living in Japan, about my daily

life, about things like Star Wars or

movies or other things I'm interested in.

She kept asking me if made videos talking

about her. She seemed kind of concerned

about this, and I said that I might have

mentioned you here and there, but I

haven't talked about you in detail. I

haven't shown your face or told people

your name. And I told her not to worry

about it. I did ask her nicely not to look

for my channel. I said, could you not look

for it because it's kind of embarrassing

and it's a bit personal? But she seems

really interested in finding my channel.

She seems a bit stubborn about it, and I'm

pretty sure she's going to search for my

channel. She said that she wants to know

what kind of videos I've been uploading,

what kind of things I've been saying, and

I have no idea if she's actually going to

search for it. She might be secretly

searching for it right now for all I know.

It's actually pretty easy to find my

channel on YouTube. All you have to do is

search for Daniel Japanese Girlfriend and

my channel should come up and you can see

my face. You can see all the videos I've

been making. I think it's pretty safe to

say that she's going to find my YouTube

channel soonish, fairly soon, and I don't

think she's going to respect my wishes of

privacy when I ask her not to look for it.

Usually if you ask someone not to do

something, it makes them want to do the

opposite of what you asked them to do. So

if you start to notice that some videos,

some certain videos, have started to

disappear, then you know why. I need to

start cleaning up the channel. I need to

start hiding things. I need to do some

damage control, basically, so when she

does find my channel, it's, it's not too

bad. I would appreciate it if people

didn't write things in the comments to try

and make me look bad. I would appreciate

it if people didn't write things like,

Daniel did this and Daniel did that and

did you know Daniel did this? Just please

don't write stuff like that, otherwise I

will have to put my foot down and ban you.

I don't know why I told her about it in

the first place. I didn't need to tell her

about it. I just had this sudden urge to

share this part of my life with her.

Maybe it's because I feel like the

relationship has gone up a level, has

gotten more serious. Maybe it's because I

feel like I'm more emotionally connected

to her after she, she bought me the Smart

Keyboard for my iPad Pro. Or maybe it's

because I wanted her to find out about my

YouTube channel from me and not from some

weirdo who starts shouting at us on the

street. So what this means is, now that

there's a risk that my girlfriend might

find my channel, I can't talk about things

like I used to talk about. There's certain

things— I think you know what I mean— that

I won't be able to make videos about. And

yeah, that's a shame, but people have also

been saying that I've been talking too

much about those things anyway. Maybe I

should start talking about different

things, otherwise people are going to get

fed up. And maybe this is a good chance to

turn over a new leaf, to start making

different kinds of content. If you really

or when she finds my channel. I don't know

if she's going to find the channel and

has found my channel, because if I don't

and she's actually secretly watching my

videos and I make a video talking about

something that I don't want her to hear

about, then I'm going to be in some

trouble. So in conclusion, I, I love my

girlfriend. She's the best girlfriend I've

ever had. She's beautiful and funny and

clever, and I would never say anything or

do anything to, to hurt her or make her

upset. Never. I love you, baby.
