An update on my divorce

um, because this area is kind of cheap

looking, but the apartment here,

they all have these automatic key card

locks, which is Kind of hotel-like.

So, um, I would like to do a quick Update

on my divorce situation, in case you're

wondering. What's happening with my

marriage? Well, basically, it's over. My

ex-wife messaged me saying that she handed

in the divorce papers that I sent back to

her all the way in March. If you remember,

she sent me the divorce papers when I was

in England, and then I signed them, and

then I sent them back to her. But then we

got back together because I thought maybe

we could work things out. Obviously things

didn't work out and she had the divorce

papers with her the whole time and she has

handed them in. Now I don't know when

we'll officially be divorced because as

far as I know they don't send some kind of

confirmation letter or certificate of

divorce and I guess— well, I assume that

they'll check the papers and if

everything's okay they'll approve it and

then we'll be officially divorced. So you

might be thinking, how do you know that

you're actually divorced? Well, to be

honest, I don't. I don't actually know

how, and I don't know how I could check to

see if I'm still married or not. I'm not

an expert on how things work in Japan,

but to my understanding, there's this

system called the family registry in

Japan, and we don't really have this in

England or European countries, but in

Japan, Basically, every Japanese person is

registered in a family register under

their family's name. And if a Japanese

person gets married, for example, the

woman, she'll take the man's name and then

she'll leave her family registry, and then

she'll be registered onto her husband's

family registry under his name. And since

I'm not a Japanese person, I don't have my

own family registry. So what my ex-wife

did was when we got married, she created a

brand new family registry just for us 2.

And I'm guessing the only way I could

check to see if we're still married would

be if I went all the way back to the town

hall that we registered our marriage at

and then checked our family registry to

see if my name is still in there. But I

can't be bothered to go all the way back

there and to ask for them to fish out

these files and family registry documents

because honestly speaking, I don't really

care that much. It doesn't really affect

me that much if we're married or not

married. I don't understand why people

make such a big deal about marriage,

because when me and my ex-wife went from

being boyfriend and girlfriend to husband

and wife, honestly speaking, there was

absolutely no difference. Everything was

exactly the same. The only difference was,

was that I was able to get a spouse visa

and I was able to stay in Japan. Apart

from the visa stuff, everything was

exactly the same as before we got married.

Being married or not being married doesn't

really affect me in any way unless I found

a new Japanese woman and then I wanted to

get married to her as well. And I have a

feeling that's not going to happen anytime

soon or ever again, really. After this

whole experience, I don't think I would

ever want to get married again because

it's just such a big, a big headache and a

big hassle, and it's just a real pain.

Well, she said she handed them in, and I

don't have any reasons to not trust her,

how would it benefit her in any way to

remain secretly married to me? That would

just be silly. But you never know, I might

be completely wrong. Maybe it takes months

and months for the divorce to be

finalized, or maybe it happens in a few

days. I really don't know. Now, I know a

lot of you liked Chihiro, and a lot of you

liked seeing her on the channel, and it's

just really unfortunate that she won't be

making any more appearances, but That's

just how things are sometimes.

Fortunately, she has said to me that I

don't have to take down the videos that

she's in, and she's given me permission to

talk about the situation and to keep the

videos on my channel where she makes

appearances. And I don't want anyone to

say horrible things about her. I don't

want her to get any hate because she

really didn't do anything wrong, and I

wouldn't want her to start blaming herself

for our marriage failing. And I don't want

anyone sending her weird messages either.

Just leave her alone. Let her deal with

this in her own way. Let's just try and

keep things civil.

This Airbnb is just terrible. The reason

why I chose this Airbnb is because it has

a kitchen and it has a stove. But guess

what it doesn't have? Where are The

frying pans. There's no cooking equipment.

There's no knife, there's no frying pan,

there's no pots. What is the point of

providing a cooking area and a kitchen if

you're not going to provide basic cooking

equipment? Obviously I don't have cooking

equipment. I'm not traveling around with a

bloody frying pan and a pot and a knife.

Why can't they just provide it for me?

It's not like it's expensive. It's It

would be about, I don't know, $10 for a

pan and then $5 for a knife. I searched

everywhere. I can't find any frying pans

or pots. There's this weird cabinet thing

here with buttons and lights. I'm not sure

what it is. They're so stingy. They just

gave me 2 cups.

And look at this. This is the stupidest

thing. They've given me washing liquid.

And a sponge. Why? If there's no cooking

equipment, what do they think I'm going to

be cleaning? Not even a plate. Not even a

bloody plate or a bowl so I can eat my

cereal. And they gave me a sponge so I can

clean my cup, I guess.

Unbelievable. Nothing in here.

Now I have to say the shower bathroom area

is quite nice. I like this wall,

it's very nice, and the bathtub is quite

spacious. They gave me body soap,

shampoo. Why is the shampoo blue? It's not

going to turn my hair blue, is it? Yeah,

I'm very disappointed because I wanted to

make a Cooking with Daniel. It's been a

very long time since I've made one of

those and The whole reason why I chose

this place was because it had a kitchen,

and now everyone's going to be

disappointed and I won't be able to cook.

Oh, they gave me ice.

Gave me some ice cubes,

and they gave me nothing here, not even a

bottle of water.

And even though this place is right next

to a motorway, it's surprisingly quiet.

Listen,

it's not as noisy as you would expect it

to be considering that it is right next

to that motorway.

Well, it's pretty noisy

now. You can really hear the sound when

you step outside. That is a

Japanese motorway. As you can see,

they've made walls on either side to try

and keep the sound contained.

That's pretty high up.

Wouldn't want to drop my phone right now.

That would be a disaster. I wonder if we

can see into those people's homes over

there. Let's see if we can zoom.
