[2017-12-31] Review of 2017 - what happened [rZQd3vza6AA]

Hey, it's the last day of 2017,

and yeah, we made it. We survived the

whole year, and we're still here together

sharing this moment, and I think that's

the most important thing. So this year has

been pretty crazy for me. Lots of weird

experiences, new experiences, met lots of

new people, overcame many difficulties and

challenges, and most importantly, I

destroyed many of my rivals: The Anime

Man, Bendine, Eurasian Writer, Where are

they now? Anyway, I just wanted to make

this video to look back over the year and

kind of do a quick recap of the main

things that happened to me this year, in

case you're new to the channel and you're

not sure what happened to me this year and

you don't have the time to look at— to

watch all of my videos from January. So we

start the year off in January, and back

then I was still working at the petrol

station doing night shifts. I had finally

given up on trying to make the Taiwanese

girl fall in love with me. So I sent her

some dick pics and I blocked her.

I went back onto Japan Cupid and I decided

to make finding a new girlfriend my New

Year's resolution. After a few days of

messaging dozens of Japanese women, I

finally found a Japanese woman who was

desperate enough to want to talk to me.

After chatting to her for several days, I

decided it was time to ask her to be my

girlfriend, and she said yes. And this

girlfriend would become the single mother

Japanese girlfriend. She was

37, she had a 9-year-old daughter, and she

was divorced. And I thought to myself,

she sounds like the perfect person to

become my new girlfriend. We started doing

Skype phone calls on a daily basis, about

5 to 6 hours every single day,

and it was pretty fun. It reminded me of

the time when I had the Japanese online

girlfriend, my very first girlfriend who I

never actually met. The one who dumped me

for the Czech Republic guy, and had a baby

this year. Can you believe that? She was

supposed to be my girlfriend. How can you

take my girlfriend, marry her, and then

impregnate her, and then make her give

birth to your child? That's just— that's

disgusting. Also, sometime around the end

of January, some person started linking my

videos to this subreddit, which is full of

weird racist losers, and then they started

linking every single one of my videos.

Every time I uploaded a video, they would

link it and they would start talking about

me and discussing me and just saying all

these negative things about me. It was

like they had this weird obsession with

me. They would come onto my videos and

leave really hateful comments teasing me

about things like the way I looked because

I looked feminine or because I looked

Asian or because I lived with my parents

or because I worked at a petrol station.

They also used to love making fun of me

because I have to come to Japan to find

girlfriends. It was like they were just

really jealous of my lifestyle, and all

they could do was leave really negative,

hateful comments. I used to argue with

them a lot, trying to defend my viewpoints

on things, but every time I countered one

of the ridiculous points, they would just

call me stupid or ignorant or unwoke. I

realized it was just a waste of time

talking to these people. They were so

narrow-minded, and it was like they

thought they knew everything about the

world and about life. So I decided to

start trolling them, and I made these

really ridiculous videos talking about

crazy things just to try and get a

reaction out of them. And they went crazy

over them. I went from getting hundreds of

views a day to thousands of views a day.

And they just kept linking my videos and

talking about me and driving more traffic

to my channel, so I was pretty happy about

it. There were some pretty sick, twisted

people from that subreddit. A few of them

found out personal information about me,

like my real name, my address, my family

members' names, email addresses, and they

doxxed me. They shared this information

with other people. As if this was supposed

to scare or intimidate me. Oh, it's so

scary, people know my real name and my

address. Oh! March was a pretty

interesting month for me. I met this guy

called George Trombley who runs the

Japanese from Zero YouTube channel. And 8

years ago when I was learning Japanese, I

actually used to use his website called

yesjapan.com. And I used to watch his

videos and I decided to make a video one

day called How I Learned Japanese and I

talked about him and his website. And I

think someone who knows him told him about

my channel, and he watched some of my

videos and he left some comments, and I

was really surprised. He came to London in

March, and he sent me a private message

asking if I would be interested in meeting

up with him, and I said yes. I went to

London, we met up for lunch, and it was so

strange meeting this guy who I used to

watch all of the time 8 years ago. I

really enjoyed meeting him. We talked

about lots of things like girls, Japanese

girls, Japan, learning Japanese, And we

talked about business ideas. I even did

some artwork for him, which he paid me

for. After I met him, I felt really

inspired to follow my dreams of becoming

self-employed, and I decided that I really

wanted to quit working at the petrol

station. In April, I took 2 weeks off

work, and I decided to go to Japan to meet

up with the single mother Japanese

girlfriend. I met her, and the moment I

saw her face, I was so disappointed. She

was really unattractive. Her face just

wasn't up to my standards. I slept with

her anyway for about 2 weeks, and after 2

weeks I decided to go back to England to

continue working at the petrol station. I

said to her that I would go back home,

save up some more money, and then go back

to Japan in July to stay with her for

longer. And I was serious about this. I

wasn't lying about it. I was actually

planning on going back to Japan in July to

see her again because I had no one else

better. And then sometime in May, I

started talking to this other Japanese

woman called Tomoko, who I met on

HelloTalk. And she said she was 28, and I

saw her photos and she looks pretty cute.

And things got pretty sexual between us

fairly quickly. We started sending each

other photos of our genitals and

masturbating videos, and we would have

phone sex now and then. I really liked

Tomoko, and the more I started talking to

Tomoko, I started losing interest in the

single mother Japanese girlfriend.

Sometime in June, I decided to tell the

single mother Japanese girlfriend that I

wanted to break up with her. I sent her a

message and then I blocked her, but then I

felt kind of bad about doing this and I

unblocked her and I said I'm sorry and

that I needed some time to think about the

relationship. And I was still talking to

her up until a few weeks ago when I got my

LINE account banned. Sometime around July,

one of these weirdos from the subreddit I

was talking about earlier, they found out

where I worked and they told my boss about

my YouTube channel. And my boss wasn't

happy. She told me off because I had loads

of videos talking about work and ranting

about coworkers that I hated. And I even

had this video where I filmed inside of

the petrol station, which she wasn't happy

about. She told me to delete these videos,

otherwise she would have to fire me. She

even saw the video where I said things

like, I do my job really badly on purpose

because I want to be fired because I hate

my job so much. And she said she even saw

the videos where I talked about sex and

girlfriends and STDs. She said they were

really funny and she might subscribe. I

don't know if she actually subscribed or

if she still watches my videos. I'm pretty

sure she doesn't. Anyway, I decided to

tell her that I would delete the videos

because I didn't want to lose my job just

yet, and I continued working at the petrol

station for a few more weeks. A week

later, some guy robbed us with a knife,

and I was really upset about this because

I couldn't make a video talking about it.

She said to me, Daniel, don't make a video

about this. And I said, please, can I make

one? She said, no. A week later, I had

this argument with my coworker. I was just

feeling really fed up and he kept nagging

me and whinging at me. He said that I

didn't do the drinks properly and I missed

some drinks in the storeroom that needed

to go out onto the shelf. And I said,

I've already finished doing the drinks.

If you're not happy with it, you can do it

yourself. And he said that if you don't do

things properly, I'll have to tell the

manager. Then I said, I don't care, tell

the manager. He stormed off and then he

came back with 6 drinks in a trolley. He

made all of that fuss because of 6 drinks.

Who gives a fuck about 6 drinks? It felt

really good to finally stand up for

myself. After that happened, he stopped

nagging me and we just— we stopped talking

to each other completely. I got so fed up

having to work with this guy. Every time I

went to work, I was just dreading having

to see his stupid face again. And I got so

fed up with the job, I ended up quitting.

I decided to quit and I wanted to focus on

doing things like translating and artwork

and building my YouTube channel. I used to

talk to him about YouTube sometimes back

when I only had about 400 subscribers,

and he was always so negative and critical

about the kind of videos that I made. He

kept saying, you'll never get views making

those kind of videos, you need to make

videos talking about cars or doing pranks.

I hate cars and I hate pranks, and I hate

it when people tell me what kind of videos

I should be making. I want to make videos

that I want to make, not videos that other

people want me to make. Anyway, in

September I decided to go to Japan again

to meet Tomoko. She agreed to be my

girlfriend and she agreed to meet me in

person. So I met up with her and I was so

disappointed again. She looked like she

was at least 20 years older than she said

she was. She didn't look like a

28-year-old Japanese girl at all. She

looked like she was at least 50 years old.

I said to her, look, I don't want to be in

a relationship with you, but I really want

to have sex with you. What do you think?

She said okay, and we went to a hotel and

we enjoyed several hours of physical

pleasure. A few days later, she admitted

to me that she lied about her age. She

wasn't 28, she was actually 45 or

something, and she actually had a husband

and a full-grown daughter. She said that

she lied to me because she thought that if

I knew she was over 40, had a husband,

and had a daughter, she thought I wouldn't

want to meet up with her, which is not

true. Being married, being over 40 and

having a daughter are not things that

would stop me from getting into bed with a

woman. The reason why I decided not to

meet her again was because she lied to me.

I can't stand liars. If you lie to me,

then you've crossed a line. There's

nothing worse than someone who lies to me.

I was really disappointed and upset with

the whole Tomoko thing. I was looking

forward to seeing her. I actually wanted

to be in a proper relationship with her,

and then I met her, and then that

happened. So I decided to give Tinder a

try, and within the space of 5 weeks, I

managed to sleep with 5 different Japanese

women and 1 American girl. And one of

those Japanese women became my girlfriend,

and I'm very happy with her and our

relationship right now. So yeah, 2017 has

been a pretty good year for me. I had lots

of encounters with the opposite sex, I met

some pretty cool people, and my YouTube

channel has grown so much. It's grown to

the point where I'm making enough money

off my channel to be able to pay for rent

and and food, which is great. One of my

dreams in life— well, my biggest dream in

life— was to become self-employed, was to

be able to make money doing things I enjoy

doing. And that's what I'm doing right

now, and I feel, I feel quite satisfied

with that. And it's all thanks to you guys

who watch my videos, who leave comments,

who press the like button, who support me

on Patreon. It's thanks to you people that

I can live the kind of lifestyle that I

want to live, and I don't have to go back

to England or slave away in a petrol

station again. And I'm really grateful for

that, even though I seem like I act like a

dick sometimes. I'm really grateful and

appreciate the support I get from you
