Living on 7-ELEVEN food in KOREA for 24 hours!

Do do do do do do do do do

do. Hmm. I got some food

from 7-Eleven, and I spent

about how much did I spend? Fifteen

dollars. And this has to last me until

tomorrow. This time, this time tomorrow is

how long this food has to last me. So I

got a chocolate milkshake.

An apple,

pizza crisps,

a Korean bento thing,

and I also got a cheeseburger.

So this will be my dinner,

and then I think these 2 will be my lunch

for tomorrow. Oh wait, I'm missing

one dinner.

Um, I didn't think about this properly.

So this is tonight's dinner, and then I

won't have a dinner for tomorrow.

Okay, this will be my lunch, and then this

will be my burger— I mean, my dinner.

Look, the Airbnb owner gave me big bottles

of water. 2 there, and where's the other

one? Oh, there it is.

It's kind of weird. So I take, I take the

top bit off and then put it to one side,

and then I have to microwave the rice And

then put this back on top of the rice and

then eat the toppings cold. Hmm. It's a

bit difficult making videos here because

I'm worried people could hear me. This,

this building is not very soundproof,

and I can hear people walking up and down

the stairs, which are on the other side of

this wall, and I can hear people walking

up and down above me, and I don't have

much of a table space, so we'll

see how this goes. Might have to move this

shelf thing, put it somewhere else.

Don't have very good lighting either

because the light is up there and

there's no light in this corner. Oh well,

we'll have to make do. This Airbnb

is so cheap, I can't believe it's only

costing me $500 a month. I can't

open this stupid thing, and there's no

cooking equipment. There's a kitchen,

there's no frying pan, there's no knife,

no scissors. How am I supposed to do my

videos without a pair of scissors? Hmm,

so how do you eat this? Do I just dump

everything on top, or do I pick things out

and then eat it with the rice? Why is

Korean food so complicated? He didn't even

give me proper chopsticks. He just gave me

these wooden ones from a Chinese

restaurant. What a cheapskate.

I guess I have to go and get my own

cutlery now and my own frying pan. Well,

I guess since I'm saving so much money on

this cheap place, I don't even have to try

and save money by cooking.

Yeah, I don't want to spoil it too much

because I'm gonna make a proper Airbnb

tour video for the main channel. Okay, so

there's a few things I want to talk about.

You know, in my last video on this

channel, the spicy sausage stew, I was

talking about going on a date at 5 PM and

I was really nervous about it. And I, I

think I was saying that I was hoping that

she would cancel so I didn't have to go.

I'm so glad she didn't cancel.

Because it was the best date I've

ever been on. We did so many things

together, and she was really cute. I

really liked her face. Her face was my

ideal face— typical Asian face, I guess—

but she had the facial features that

I find really attractive. For example,

she had those Asian kind of eyes, small

nose, high cheekbones. I find that

combination really attractive for some

It's funny because my wife had none of

those features. Well, I guess she had a

small nose, but she didn't really have

that typical Asian look, you know.

For a Japanese person, she kind of had

Western features.

But it was the best date I ever had. So

first of all, um, we went to this art

gallery. It wasn't very interesting, it

was just like someone's basement and there

was artwork, and the artwork was really

bad. It was like a 5-year-old had made

the arts, you know, like what children do

when they doodle and you give them paint.

It wasn't very impressive. I guess it's

supposed to be all creative and

expressional. I don't think

that's a real word.

And then afterwards we

went to this VR game center.

That was pretty cool because I wanted to

try VR for a long time now. And we went on

this ride where it's kind of like you're

on the Great Wall of China and you're

being towed by this man on a bicycle,

and then it drops down and you get shot up

into the air, then you drop back down

again. It was really realistic, the whole

ride thing moved as well, so it felt like

you were actually moving. That was fun.

And then afterwards we walked around a

bit, and then we went to a restaurant and

we talked. She's pretty cool.

She sings in a band and she likes metal

music. I asked her, what kind of music do

you like? And she said metal. That was a

surprise. I've never met a girl who likes

metal. They always like pop or And

then I said I like metal as well, and she

asked me which bands I liked. I said

Bullet for My Valentine, and she knew who

they were, which blew my mind because

usually no one knows who Bullet for My

Valentine is. They're not really popular.

And then after dinner,

what did we have for dinner? We had those

lamb skewer things, the same exact same

lamb skewer things I had with the other

Korean girl. That was funny.

And then after dinner, we went to this

basement bar kind of place where they had

hookah, you know, the vapor cigarette.

And it was her first time, so she was

pretty excited about it.

And then we walked around more, and then

we went to karaoke. And I was thinking

about making my moves because usually when

I go to karaoke with a girl, it's easy to

sit next to her and then make things

intimate. But the karaoke we went to was

called Coin Karaoke, and it was just

really bright and the room was really

tiny. Which was good because we were close

to each other, but it was so bright and

there wasn't proper seating. You just get

stools and

there's this massive mirror in front of

you, so I didn't really feel comfortable

making a move. Our hands touched

a few times and she bumped into me a few

times. That was the closest act— closest

to action for that we got to.

She was easily the cutest girl that I've

ever been on a date with. Exactly my type.

I couldn't believe it. For some reason,

I seem to be doing pretty well here in

Korea on the dating scene. In Japan,

all I could ever match were old women and

fat women. I hardly ever—

I never matched young, cute, slim girls.

But in Korea, I am. I'm matching loads of

cute, young, slim girls. I'm a

bit worried the person in the next room

This meal kind of sucks, by the way. It's

just raw carrot, raw lettuce,

cucumber or zucchini, and then some cold

beef and bean sprouts.

I think you're supposed to tip it all onto

the rice and then mix it up.

Well, the dates went really well, but I

don't think she's interested in me because

it's taking her ages to reply, and she was

definitely replying to me more frequently

before we met. So after the date finished,

I came back home, and before I went to

bed, I just sent her a short message

saying I had fun today Good night. And

then she didn't reply until the next day

about 4 PM. She said, I had fun too,

with lots of O's and a smiley face. And I

was really happy. I was like, yes, she

replied to me. So I sent her another

message after about an hour saying,

what did you do today? You know, just to

try and talk to her. And she didn't

reply. And it's now a day later and

it's about 9 PM, so either she's really

busy or she's

not interested in talking anymore, which

kind of sucks because I was hoping to ask

her out on a— on another date to meet

again. I can't ask her,

what did you do today, and then

immediately ask her out again without her

replying.

Hopefully she replies within today so

I can just ask her, because I don't feel

like she's interested in me. But if

I don't tell her that I like her, then I

might regret it. I've got nothing to lose,

I guess. I'll just Write a short message

saying, um,

when would we be able to— when would we be

able to go on another date? I really liked

you, smiley face. I think that's quite a

good idea because I use the word date,

not hang out or meet, so it implies that I

fancy her and I want to be more than

friends.

And then I directly tell her that I liked

I think she's going to reject me.

Then I can make a video about it, I guess.

So it's win-win. She rejects me, then I

can make a video. She doesn't reject me,

then I get to see her again.

Oh, one thing is worrying me though. I

didn't realize, but I set my gender on

Tinder to woman, and I matched her as a

woman, and I don't know if she thought I

was a woman before we met.

Do I look like a woman on my photos? I

don't think I do. I look kind of feminine,

but I definitely look like a guy.

So I'm worried that she only met me

because she thought I was a woman and

she's not into guys.

It's interesting because usually when I'm

on a date, I don't really enjoy it because

I don't feel attracted to the girl. But

this time, because I was really attracted

to her, It was so much fun.

I didn't feel like it was boring at all.

I really enjoyed it, and I felt more

motivated to talk to her. I was really

trying my hardest to ask her questions and

talk about things,

and I wanted to do more things with her,

things I usually wouldn't be interested in

doing. She even let me smoke her cigarette

like the other one did. That's weird.

They all smoke. All the Korean girls I've

met so far, they all smoke.

And they gave me one as well. Reminded me

when— it reminded me when I was 16 and I

used to smoke with the cool kids so I

could fit in.

We used to go behind this bush on the

school field where the teachers wouldn't

find us.

I was supposed to go on a date today, but

she cancelled on me last minute. She said,

do you want to meet up next week instead?

And I might be going on a date on the

weekend. There's so many girls now. I

matched about 20, at least 20. Using

different apps as well, and some of them

agreed to meeting, so things might

start getting confusing with all the

different girls. So I want to get this— oh

The problem is I have to eat everything

and then wash the container because I

don't want the apartment getting stinky

because I'll be staying here for a month.

Traffic's pretty noisy here as well. What

I was quite busy today actually because I

lost my shaver— shaver charging cable.

So I had to go to this Philips repair

shop, which is quite far away.

Took me about— well, I had to ride a train

to get to the nearest station, which took

about half an hour, and then I had to walk

all the way there because there were no

trains closer.

Took me about 40 minutes to walk there.

It was in this massive department store.

I had to talk to this old Korean guy who

didn't speak English, and he

got me to fill out this form, and he said

it would take 7 days for the new charger

to get here. I said I need it today

because I need to shave. And then he

phoned someone, and then this woman came

in with a charger, and then he sold it to

me for about $15.

Why didn't he just give me that one

instead of making me fill out this form?

Why would I wait 7 days? I need it

And then I went to Burger King. Had a

burger, walked around a bit.

It's okay, I guess. I didn't film anything

because it's just buildings and traffic,

not interesting.

It was nice, I guess, just walking around

by myself. Don't have to talk to anyone.

I guess it's quite nice living in Korea.

My main problems are just very nitpicky.

For example, people spit a

lot on the ground, usually old men. It's

really disgusting. When you go outside,

all you can hear is all the time.

I just ate one of the chilies again. And

there's always stuff going on on the

pavements, on the footpaths. There's

usually construction happening, and they

do the construction work— for example,

cutting pipes or tiles— they do it on the

pavement, so you have to walk around them.

There's so much construction happening

everywhere. And then

they ride their motorbikes on the pavement

as well, so you always have to watch out.

It's kind of— it's a bit stressful.

And they're always horning at each other.

Can you hear that? What will happen is one

person from behind will horn at the person

in front of them, and then the person in

front who got horned at will horn back at

the person who horned him. And then they

just have like a horning battle. And one

time I saw this guy drive past, he opened

his window and started screaming at the

guy behind him. It was so funny.

Korean people are kind of short-tempered.

They get angry very quickly from what I

can tell, so I feel a bit intimidated. I

don't want to piss people off, so I'm very

aware of my surroundings so I don't get

in people's way. I don't

want to get yelled at by some old angry

Korean guy. They're a bit scary.

Look, all of this is just goo. Spicy

gunge. No more meat.

Koreans love the orangey-red looking

sticky spicy goo, don't they? Nearly all

of the food here is just covered in this

red goo and it all tastes the same.

Tastes like chili. They love it here.

Well, this has to be one of the worst

meals I've ever had. Even my cooking's

better. It's just raw stuff. And then a

tiny bit of beef. Oh, it tastes like

nothing. Well,

that was meal number 1.

Tomorrow I've got my burger left.

Probably have to go out again in the

evening to get more food. It's kind of

hard getting food here because I can't

find any supermarkets, and there's no

McDonald's, KFC, or Burger King until the

next station. All they have is 7-Elevens

and the Korean convenience stores, and

they're kind of expensive, and the food

isn't great. What should I do about this

girl? I have this feeling she's not gonna

reply today or tomorrow.

Maybe she's not gonna reply ever, so I

might as well just message her again

saying that I really like her, and then

she'll probably just unmatch me, won't

she? Or she'll ignore me, or she'll say,

sorry, I'm not interested.

So annoying. I finally meet a girl that I

really fancy and I really like, and then

she won't even like me back.
