Super Smash Bros Ultimate is INSANE On Nintendo Switch 2 ｜ Performance Review

Hello, welcome back to a new video.

As someone who's bought a Switch 2

recently, you might be wondering what kind

of fighting games can we get on Switch 2,

and there's not a lot of choice, to be

honest.

So to be honest, I just finished recording

the audio for this video and realized I

didn't select the correct microphone, and

now I have to re-record an entire 6

minutes

all over again, say exactly what I just

said, but I kind of can't be bothered.

So basically what I just said, now I'm

gonna say it all again, is that I don't

like this game.

It's boring, it's old.

It's okay, I guess, if you want to fight

other characters from Nintendo, but I'd

rather— if you're gonna play a fighting

game, I'd rather just play Street Fighter

or Mortal Kombat because

I feel like those are better fighting

games than this game.

So this is kind of like a mixture of

platforming and fighting where the whole

goal is You got to beat your opponent and

get the percentage points at the bottom to

go up so you can knock them off easier.

So the main problem with this game is so

far is it feels kind of dead.

It took me ages to actually find a match,

took like 2 or 3 minutes in the waiting

lobby until they actually matched me up

with anyone, and it was only a 1v1.

I wanted like a 4v4 or something, but the

game seems kind of dead and quiet.

I don't know when they're gonna bring out

a new Super Smash Bros., but it seems like

It hasn't been announced as of right now,

and I don't really see what else they can

do to the game.

I mean, the game looks pretty good as it

is even though it's old.

So I mean, apart from just including some

lighting upgrades,

it's not really a huge amount they could

add to this game.

I don't really know, like new characters

maybe,

maybe more complicated fighting system.

I've always found the fighting system in

this game to be very boring.

So you got 2 attacks, melee and your

special attacks.

You got maybe 3 or 4 of them, and you got

your block, and you're just trying to time

the attacks to knock the enemy off the

platform.

The whole point of the game is to knock

the enemy off the platform, so you'll be

constantly spending the entire game

jumping up and down, being beaten like a

piñata, trying to get back to the center

stage.

And the gameplay does get kind of boring

in this fashion.

So yeah, it's a kind of boring game.

I don't really want to play it much more

than this.

I guess it's fun for a few minutes.

It feels like a minigame, to be honest.

It's kind of like a minigame within

another game where it's just like,

like an arcade machine inside of a game.

You enter the arcade machine, you play

this.

It doesn't feel like a fully fleshed-out

game for some reason.

The visuals are really nice and

everything, don't get me wrong, but

It's a very basic, bland game with not

much going on, but the frame rates are

good and everything.

Graphics seem like the same as they were

from the original Switch, so don't really

expect that playing it on the Switch 2 is

going to give you any kind of performance

boost.

It's a very easy to run game and the

graphics aren't exactly demanding.

So yeah, those are what I would say about

the game.

Would I buy it in 2025?

Probably not.

Probably only play it if you've already

bought it previously and you want

something to play on the Switch too.

Then you've got something on the table.

So it is quite a fun game sometimes,

especially if you've got friends to play

with, then it might be more fun.

But if you've got no friends, then I don't

really recommend it.

So for those reasons, I'm gonna give it a

4.2

out of 10.

I can recommend it if you like Mario and

Nintendo games and fighting, but me

personally, I prefer Mario Kart.

I find it to be a more entertaining,

interesting game,

and I just— I prefer racing, but also with

a bit of violence in the racing.

Mario Kart is strangely violent as a—

looks like a children's game, but it's

actually kind of violent with the

explosions and ramming your opponents off

the road.

And squishing them flat.

Yeah, I've always found it kind of boring.

I don't really like most of the

characters.
