So it's half past 10 at night. I have to go to the bus station, the bus stop, to pick up Sunny. It's so dark. Oh my God. So I'm gonna have to drive about 15 miles. She should be arriving at midnight, so yeah, I'm a bit early, but I need to set up my cameras And set up the car, stuff like that, get prepared. This feels a little bit crazy. I've never driven on the motorway at night by myself before, so this could be interesting. I think it'll be fine. Won't be any traffic, hopefully. Okay, so step 1, open the car. This feels so weird. I mean, it's only 10-something, but by the time I finish faffing around in the car It should be nearly 11. I think I should leave by around 11, 10 past 11, just so I've got plenty of time to get there in time. Okay, I can't see a thing. Got to set up the GoPro, turn everything on. Okay, so first of all, uh, the light— I can't see anything on the stalk. What the hell? I think it's on auto. So it says we've got 180 miles range and we're doing a 15-mile drive, so I'm hoping that that is quite accurate and it will go down to 165 when I get there and not something much lower. And then it should be like 150 when I get back home, so we'll see if this thing is actually accurate or not. Oh wait, I can turn these lights on, can't I, to illuminate. Actually, it's a bit too bright. Maybe I don't need the lights. Oh my God, I'm nervous! Never done this before. What am I doing? Okay, we got Apple CarPlay plugged in. Should have the route saved already. Haven't used Apple CarPlay before. Looks quite good. And I've got the GoPro up here mounted so I can get some driving footage. Hopefully it won't be too dark. I mean, the front is illuminated with the headlights, so I reckon it would be able to pick some footage up. So I've already lost 2 miles range and I haven't done anything, I've just been sitting here, so that's good. So the map is saying I would go this way, down this road onto the motorway, and then off the motorway, and then through this kind of country lane to go upwards. Um, it should only take about 26 minutes, but I might drive a bit slower to save battery and also try and be safer, so I don't know, maybe it'll take 30 or 35 minutes. Uh, we shall see, but it's still only 10:40 PM. If I leave now, I'll get there like 20 past 11, and then I've got to wait like 40 minutes for her to arrive, which might be okay. I mean, I guess we could go now just to be safe. Okay, I guess we have to go soon. Are you ready? Let's go! Oh wait, look, I just put it into Eco mode and now it says we have 187 miles range. Okay, so 187 starting, and we'll see how much we have left when we get there. This is the worst bit. Turn right. I can't see shit. I can't see anything. Oh my God. In a quarter of a mile, turn left. Oh my God. Destination will be on the right. Oh my God, I made it! I got lost The stupid sat nav, it's not zooming in on my location. It was just like really zoomed out and I couldn't see where I had to turn. And I pressed this and nothing happened. And then I missed the turn and I had to go around all these other roundabouts. And then someone was behind me and it was like, I don't know, 60 mph road and I was only going 30 or 40 and he was like right up my backside. But it was so dark I couldn't see anything. I'm not doing 60 on a tiny little country lane and it's pitch black. guy is crazy, and then he overtook me. Oh my God, so nervous. The motorway was fine, but then when I got off the motorway, the little roads— thankfully there weren't too many people behind me apart from just one guy who was right up my backside. I mean, I was going like 35 to 40 on a 60 road, so he was pretty pissed. So yeah, it started at 187 and now it's down to 172, so it actually is accurate. It's 15 miles to get here and it says I'm down by 15 miles, so It's not wrong, I guess. Uh, I don't know where the bus is gonna stop by. I reckon it's gonna stop over there. I think when I turned right into here, I was on the right side of the lane. I was on the right lane instead of the left lane. God, thank God there's no one around apart from someone over there. Oh my God, I think that's our bus. It's turning in here. Look, that's her bus. There it is. Where is she? I wonder if she saw me sitting here. Come back! Where are you going? Come back! So she's gotta walk back here, I guess. Or should I go over to her? I think it's stopping over there. Yeah, if it stops there, that'd be great. And then she can just walk over here. Oh my God! Why does Lori have to stop right in front of me? Now I can't see her. Ah, there she is. Yellow suitcase. Ha ha ha. I should get out.
